Full day trip - June 2024

8 Hour Trip1 adult

Booked a full day trip with Marantha. Great from start to finish. Picked up from right outside the hotel. Crew very friendly and accommodating, they never stopped for the whole trip. Constantly rigging lines, switching lures / bait and looking for feeding zones all day. All crew members very experienced and and their knowledge of the fish in the area is second to none. Crew always explaining their tactics and the reasoning behind them. Had a great day, caught and learnt plenty along the way. One of the best fishing trips I have been on. 10/10.

Response from Captain

    Great trip and adventure

    5 Hour Trip (AM) • 4 adults • 1 child

We had a fabulous experience. We caught fish, but more than that, we had a great time. The crew was so friendly and amazing. We were on a drought, but found the birds and suddenly had 5 on at the same time. Crazy, but we reeled them all in. The boat was super comfy for when we were on the search, so not just a great fishing experience, but a great boat experience too. We ended up taking half of a yellowfin tuna onto shore and the restaurant cut it up for us, fresh sushi! So good.

    Amazing trip!!!

    5 Hour Trip (PM) • 7 adults

We had an unforgettable trip with great catch! The captain and his son were incredibly friendly, super professional, and made us feel welcome right from the start. We had an amazing amount of fun - even though almost all of us spent part of fishing trip fighting the waves and our stomachs at the same time 🤢 😂. Let's just say: the fish weren't the only ones getting a workout! Despite that, the mood stayed fantastic and we laughed a lot. Everything about fishing was explained clearly and patiently, so even beginners felt comfortable and involved. I can highly recommend this experience to everyone - great people, great fishing, and memories we'll never forget! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A great day with Captain Antonio and his son!

    10 Hour Trip • 2 adults

We had an amazing day out on the water with Captain Antonio and his son! The equipment was top-notch and in perfect condition. Both of them were incredibly friendly, patient, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. They took the time to explain everything in detail and shared a lot of interesting insights about the fishing and the area. You could really tell they love what they do! They tried absolutely everything to get us on the target fish and made the whole trip unforgettable. Highly recommended – we’d go again anytime!

    An amazing trip!

    6 Hour Trip • 5 adults

Captain Antonio and the crew were very hospitable, accommodating, chatty and professional from beginning to end. We did a 6 hour fishing trip from Le Morne and were able to catch a Blue Marlin which was a bucket list experience. The boat is very comfortable (there were 5 of us) and when the fish were not biting we saw so many dolphins and whales to keep us occupied.

    Family Trip

    8 Hour Trip • 3 adults

I went on a family 8h fishing trip with my son and daughter. The captain had the best-equipped boat I've ever been on. Unfortunately, the sea wasn't ideal, so we only caught a few small tuna, and the dream of landing a big marlin remained unfulfilled. However, the crew was very dedicated to ensuring our success. One thing to note, and this seems to apply to almost all operators in Mauritius, is that the crew keeps the catch. I chose Maranatha because their Fishbrooker website advertised that the guest keeps the catch. This led to a brief discussion. I was staying in the north and had to drive almost two hours to the south in the morning. Had I known this beforehand, I would have chosen a different operator in the north. But, all in all, though, it was a good experience.

    Response from Captain

Hi Hubertus, thanks for the review and rating . it was a pleasure having you and the group unboard. hope next time we have more luck by hooking a big marlin
