Being a native Floridian whom has gone on many fishing charters, this is by far been the best charter I have ever been on. I took my 10-year-old son as well. We had a great time. The boat is beautiful with plenty of room, new, advanced features, quality equipment, a variety of fishing options, and very safe. Water on ice is provided for you to drink. He is a great captain. He has great spots to find various species of fish and had us on fish virtually the entire trip. I lost count of how many fish we caught!!!! We brought home more than a few nights of dinner as well. The captain was very kind and great with my son. The most patient man I have experienced in the fishing world. He gave us both wonderful tips that we will use forever when we are fishing. He improved our technique and made us feel more confident in our fishing abilities. He had a great conversation with both my son and myself throughout the excursion. He was able to level with my son and make him feel capable and knowledgeable. You will not be disappointed if you go fishing on this chartered experience. At the end, my son even gave him a fishing luer that he had brought with him because he said it was the best fishing experience he had ever had and wanted to show his appreciation. I would have to say the same for myself. We can’t wait to go fishing again! We had the best day making memories and catching tons of fish. Don’t hesitate to book a trip on this boat with this boat and captain - I promise you will not be disappointed. We will always book our fishing expeditions with this boat and captain from now on!!! Hey Cap just a thank you for the trip.  The keys reasons that I would HIGHLY recommend DJ.
1. Capt. Encourage me to lay a track on my phone getting out of Choko and to the spots we fished.
2. Capt. Took time with my mentally challenged brother getting into tight fishing spots so he could cast into the fish. 
3. Lastly he made everyone feel welcome and that they were part of the team including my alternate lifestyle sister.  First time I’ve seen him smile in a month. It was a great trip! 

We were blessed to have an incredibly beautiful day, but that was not the best part of our trip. Captain DJ is one of the best captains we have ever fished with. He is extremely knowledgeable, knows some great little secret spots and doesn’t waste time at a spot with no action. He is extremely personable, kind, helpful and has plenty of stories to tell. We came home with Trout, Snapper and an unexpected Flounder. You cant go wrong with Captain DJ. We will be going out with him again soon.

When I found out I was coming back to the Florida keys area I knew I had to book another trip with captain DJ. We started off the trip with two nice reds in the very beginning of the trip. After catching a few shorts and a keeper we moved to another spot. The next spot would provide snook, sheepshead, drum, and another red. After wearing them out and throwing several back we changed spots looking for tarpon. Capt. DJ was honest saying we might not get one, but he would try his best. At the next spot I landed the tarpon I had been after. If you are looking for a great guide who is personable and knowledgeable, Capt. DJ is your guy. I don’t think we could have done any better even if we were fishing at an aquarium! Already looking to come back in a few months.
