Champagne Charter Co. invites you to join Captain Brendan Champagne for an exciting day of inshore saltwater fishing in Maine's beautiful Casco Bay! As a Maine native and fishing fin-atic, Brendan is highly experienced and extremely effective at putting you on the fish and enticing the bite!

Brendan's boat is a 19' Sundance center console that's powered by a 90 HP Yamaha engine. It's got enough room for up to 3 prospective anglers, making it a great option for bringing some friends along. Along with all the necessary safety and navigation gear needed for a productive trip, it's also equipped with a wireless trolling motor - great when you need to run silent.

Champagne Charter Co. offers a variety of fishing packages, including full day, half day and evening trips. Captain Brendan specializes in Striped Bass fishing and his fishing tactics are strategically chosen for each trip based on trends, tides, and weather. He is very confident in providing a memorable fishing experience, whether you are an avid angler (spin or fly) or a first-time fisherman.

Rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price of a given trip, along with complimentary drinks and snacks. All you need to bring is a pair of sunglasses and some sunscreen, and you're all set to catch the fish of a lifetime!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our fishing experience with Capt Brendan Champagne. He checked in on us ahead of time to inform us what we would need to bring and even asked if we would be interested to advance the start time of our charter by several hours to align with the striper’s local feeding behavior. We really enjoyed Brendan. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and an absolute joy to spend the trip with. You can’t go wrong. And yes we caught A LOT of striped bass (about 2 dozen total) but since we weren’t staying we released everything we caught. Thanks Brendan for a great experience!

Morning trip

Excellent experience! Brandan was awesome from the beginning. He called the day before asking if we would want to come an hour earlier because the morning bite was good, so we did. As soon as we got to his first spot, we started catching fish, we caught a lot in the 18 to 22 inch range to start, all using artificial lures.  We caught enough fish that we tried switching it up just to have fun, I tried some top water fishing and had some fish hit but never hooked up, while our friend tried some flies that branden hand tied.  He caught his first ever striper on a fly rod and branden even let him keep the fly! After we were set fishing for the smaller fish, we went and grabbed some live bait and hit some other spots looking for bigger fish. Unfortunately we didn't land and slobs, but we got a couple over 24 inches and had some big ones get off.  The action was pretty good beginning to end and I have nothing bad to say about the trip.

Our half day trip with Brendan was outstanding!! We caught fish all morning, on lures, flies, and live bait. This was my second year going with Champagne Charters and I am convinced he’s the best.  Great fishing, great conversation, and we learned more about fishing stripers. Highly recommend him!!
