Screwy Louie’s Fishing Charters is based in Fair Haven, New York just a short ride west of Oswego. Launching out of Little Sodus Bay, the company takes anglers of all ages and skill levels to the beautiful waters of Lake Ontario.
Join Captain Brendan
and let him take you to where the fish are. If you want to go out during the spring months, you can get your hands on Brown Trout, Chinook Salmon, Lake Trout, and Steelhead. Later in the season, you will be able to add Smallmouth Bass and Coho Salmon to the list.
The waters of Fair Haven are home to trophy Trout and Steelhead and can easily fill your cooler with some outstanding catches. Once you are done fishing, your catch will be cleaned for you so that you could taste it for dinner later.
Screwy Louie’s Fishing Charters will take you out aboard a 30’ Tiara boat. Built in 2000, the vessel comes powered by two 320 HP Crusader engines and can cruise at a top speed of 35 knots. The boat is rigged with electronics and top-notch gear and has plenty of space for up to 6 anglers. There is also a toilet on board for your maximum comfort.
All trips come with the use of rods, reels, tackle, lures, and live bait. Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks and don’t forget to purchase a fishing license before the trip.

Took the hubby and two grown kids fishing on Lake Ontario. My goal was to create a great fishing memory. Originally we scheduled Screwy Lewie’s charter for a half day beginning at 1pm to 4pm. He called us the previous day and said he felt the weather and his gut instincts were that we really should go early in the morning to get fish. We changed our time to 5:30 am and had a very successful day. Friends of ours who left for fishing at 11am on that same day said they didn’t catch anything. Meanwhile, we caught our limit of brown trout. Deckhand John was very knowledgeable as well and welded his fillet knife like an iron chef. The conversation was great and we loved hearing their fish tales of past customers. It was a great time! The kids now want to come back for salmon. Fish-check, good time-check, fish dinner on the grill-check, lasting memories-check.

The charter was our 2nd with Captain Brendan and first mate John. They really know the lake and the conditions to put us on the fish. Worked hard to change things up to locate more fish. We would charter in the future only with Screwy Louie and recommend to all to use them!!

Captain and Nate were very knowledgeable and helpful. First charter for a couple of guys and they gave pointers to reel them in. Only downside is the regulation of only 3 per person which we met in 3 hour. Looking forward to fresh brown trout.
