Free Style Charters specializes in connecting anglers from all over the country with the finest spots on Lake Michigan. Explore the area in comfort and style with Capt. George, who has over 30 years of experience fishing the mighty lake.
Your day out on the water will see you catching fish and having fun doing it. All trips with Capt. George have a friendly atmosphere, which any angler will be able to enjoy. Young or old, beginner or seasoned professional, male or female, there is a trip for you.
Free Style Charters will take you fishing for Chinook Salmon, Steelhead, Lake Trout, and Brown Trout. You can choose from a half-day adventure to a full-day trip, depending on your personal preferences. All trips come with the use of rods, reels, tackle, lures, and a complimentary fish cleaning service. You will have to bring your own food, drinks, and a valid fishing license.
Your boat for the day will be the 'Free Style', a spacious 31' Tiara. She comes powered by a pair of Crusader engines and can cruise at a top speed of 32 knots. The Free Style has a clean marine head and a washroom, along with enough room for your cooler and a place to store whatever gear you want to bring aboard. She is also rigged with a radar.
The Free Style has a First Mate aboard who will be helping you during the entire trip.

5 Hour Trip (AM) on May 31, 2024 • 2 adultsCaptain George Freeman and Abe were already aboard Freestyle as we arrived. We were welcomed aboard a spotless boat with everything ready to go, after a safety briefing and an introduction we were off. It was a beautiful morning, catching the sun come up and then the first fish, the fight the excitement as I landed a 22.5 lb salmon. This was quickly followed by a very slightly small trout but still a great fish. We then headed to deeper waters to chase more fish. Both Captain George and Abe worked hard to locate more fish and we were soon rewarded with Two Salmon that were landed at the same time, the perfect way to end our morning on the Lake. Then we headed back to the Marina where Abe set about preparing our catch. Abe took the time to explain the filleting process to us novice fishermen. We were very surprised by the amount of fish we will be enjoying for the weeks to come. Can’t thank Captain George and Abe enough for a memorable Lake Michigan fishing Trip. We caught 9 kings and 3 lake trout. One king was almost 22 lbs. Also, I cant stress enough how nice the guys were, very personal and just an overall blast. We will definitely be returning. Captain George had my party hooked up on salmon almost immediately. Literally didn’t have 2 lines in the water. Caught 10 very good size salmon and 1 lake trout. The boat was very clean and well maintained. Equipment was superb. I will definitly recomend Free style charters to all my fishing buddies and anyone reading this review.

Great time today. Our group age ranged from 6 to 76. Everyone had a blast. On the fish pretty quick. The Captain and Abe were wonderful to fish with. Would recommend to anyone, and we aren't just weekend warrior fisherman.
