Safari Girl Charters invites you to join Captain Mark Brown for a great fishing experience on Chesapeake Bay. Mark has been fishing on the upper Bay for over 30 years. If you're looking for someone who can take your whole family for a fishing adventure, look no further!
You'll be fishing aboard a 35' Chesapeake Bay deadrise boat, the 'Safari Girl.' Fully equipped with top of the line electronics and safety gear, she'll quickly get you where you need to be thanks to a 370 HP Cummins engine. These boats are custom-built to be used for fishing the bay for a number of fish species. She's a spacious vessel with enough room for up to 6 anglers to relax and fish in comfort.
The main focus of most anglers coming to Chesapeake Bay is the utterly fantastic Striped Bass fishing. More commonly known as Rockfish in Maryland, Stripers are the #1 prize on most trips. Other than Bass, you can expect to encounter species like Bluefish, White Perch, Trout, and more besides.
You'll be provided with all the necessary fishing gear to get the job done, including rods, reels, and terminal tackle. The only thing you should do is get a pair of polarized sunglasses, and some drinks and snacks if you're so inclined. Capt. My friends and I had a wonderful time on the safari girl. We caught several decent sized rockfish despite conditions not being the best. Captain Mark definitely knows what he’s doing and does it old school. Awesome!

Mark was great ! Six of us went (mostly first timers), and we're already planning the next one. Mark is knowledgeable, patient, and interacted well with ever body. He got us onto the stripers as soon as we got to our destination, and we limited out in no time. Highly recommend Safari Girl, and if you from the PA, northern MD area, he's the closest I could find. Thanks again Mark !

Capt mark and his mate Mike, I have charter boats for years and all I can say is just an amazing trip, personal , professional, just a memorable trip these two guys where just amazing , the boat was clean, prepared , well equipped just everything was on point captin mark sets the bar high and just about unattainable I booked a trip today and will continue to do so for stripers spring and fall. Went fishing with Captain Mike for a half a day with two fishing buddies each of us brought our son. It was awesome to see our kids reel in 40+ inch fish. Then it was Tim and Vinnys turn ,both caught very nice fish. Five down and one to go,Mine !! But mine never came, still had great time and captain mike put us on a great day of fishing, with plenty of fillets for everyone. Our half day trip was over the half day time limit. That’s when I knew I would go back out with Captain Mike on the Safari Girl. He stayed out there way longer than he needed to, trying to get us one last fish. I thought that was pretty cool of him. I enjoyed being on the water and helping provide a good experience for customers. I became a licensed marine engineer in 1984 and sailed in the merchant marine for several years. In 1990 I obtained my operators license and in 1995 had Safari Girl built from a local boat builder.
