Join Captain Mike Garrett on his 38' Evans boat that can accommodate up to 6 anglers fishing in full comfort. It comes powered by twin Caterpillar engines, 210 HP each. The 'Valerie Ann' is outfitted with the latest navigational equipment and fishfinding electronics, as well as top-notch safety gear. There's also a full restroom and two beds on board for maximum comfort. Live bait wells are there to keep your bait fresh, and you'll also be supplied with ice-boxes for your catch.
Your inshore adventure will start from a privately owned dock with a free parking, located only 10 minutes from the bay. The captain will take you after the likes of Striped Bass, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Red Drum, and who knows what else. He'll also show you the best ways to land the catch, including trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, and much more.
If you want to do some live bait fishing, the captain will help you catch some on the way. And after you land your dream fish, you'll find a fish cleaning station on the dock. Kids of all ages are welcome, young or old.
First Mate will be there to assist you with anything you need. He works hard to make sure your trips go as smoothly as possible, gratuity is greatly appreciated (20% is the local standard). The charter covers all the fishing gear essential for landing your desired fish - you just have to show up and reel it in!

This was our 3rd or 4th time fishing with Capt. Mike. It has always been fun fishing with him and his first mates. I would recommend fishing with them on Valeria Ann anytime. Already booking my Oct. trip.
There is never any guarantee with fishing- and this was a trip where the fish won out. But the Mike and John tried hard, moved us around, and did what they could. We could see the fish on the fish finder but they were biting for anyone that morning. So when I say we had a great time, it was due to friendliness of the crew, their storytelling, and the overall camaraderie a day on the water brings. I’m already looking forward to our next outing with Capn Mike so we can bring in some big stripers.

Mike and first mate John were great. Really easy going funny guys. The rock fish weren’t running but caught some nice blue, spanish mackerel and lots of spot, croaker action on light tackle. Will definitely hook up (no pun intended ) with these guys again
Captain Mike Garrett and first meet Kyle we’re outstanding! Very fun for my grandson and his friend to talk to, and learn about the bay and fishing. They were very patient with us, and worked extremely hard to make sure we caught our limit in rockfish for the day, despite slow conditions in otherwise excellent weather. I recommend the Valerie Ann Enthusiastically, and without reservation. I’ll be back, and bring others! Thank you, gentlemen, for a terrific day!
