Spice up your vacation, and join Calypso Charters to explore the prolific fishing grounds out of Puerto Vallarta in Mexico! Captain Ariel Rosen grew up on these waters, so he'll show you all the best places where you can reel in those bucket-list specimens.
You will be sailing aboard Calypso II, a 28' center console boat built by the Captain. It's powered by twin 115 HP Yamaha engines and is equipped with navigational electronics, so it'll put you on the fish in no time. The boat can accommodate up to 4 anglers, and there's a toilet on board for your convenience.
The crew will provide you with all the fishing equipment, and you'll fish using live bait. There's a fighting chair on board so you can reel in some of those monsters. The crew will be happy to clean and fillet your catch after the trip, so you can take it home for a taste, or to fill the freezer.
You will be able to choose among a great variety of trips, depending on where you want to go, and how much time you have. Each trip can be customized to suit any angler's needs. There's a lot of beautiful places you can explore here, so feel free to take a look and find the trip that speaks to you most.
A day out with Capt. Ariel will see you sailing to a remote beach, having a delicious lunch on the beach, and, of course, targeting the fish of your dreams! Among your targeted species will be Wahoo, Tuna, Snook, Snapper, Sailfish, Marlin, Roosterfish, King Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Jack Crevalle, and Amberjack.

Fun day of fishing and impromptu whale watching

Captain Ariel was easy to communicate with before arriving, knowing what we needed and dealing with port fees etc. On the day of the trip, we went with Hector and Fernando and they were great hosts and guides. We ended up catching 28 Bonita, only losing a few (our error), including one much larger fish(unseen). After an onslaught of fishing we pivoted to seeing some whales and dolphins for a while, before finishing the day with a little more slow fishing. Captain and crew were great. Would book again.

Great boat and crew. fishing was a little slow. But we still caught a couple skip jacks. and seen a lot of cool things like stingrays, and Dolphins.

It was a fantastic experience! this was the 2nd trip with calypso--Erik and Luis were awesome. we caught a really nice Maui Maui and also a Big Travail Jack and had 3 more on--I would recommend this crew and Calipsico big time.

Fun Filled Day of 🎣 Fishing

I highly recommend this trip for anyone…from a novice to an experienced fisherman. Boat was very clean, crew was excellent & friendly. There was a variety of equipment on the boat. We caught plenty of fish with breathtaking scenery. Added bonus seeing dolphins & turtles & to top it all off FRESH & tasty ceviche entree was prepared by our Captain. I highly recommend Calypso!

Eric and Sam worked hard to find us fish, which didnt want to cooperate, however these two guys were engaging and fun to spend time with kn the water!
getting to see dolphins, whales and catch a few fish made the day a success regardless of the amount of fish caught!
highly recommend Calypso II and Eric\Sam !
