I have been on the boat and on the water for almost all of my life, but have only been in the charter business for 9 years. My passion comes from seeing a passenger on my boat with that smile when they get that nice fish on board.

We had the best day!  Ariel is a top-notch guide.  We felt welcomed right away, the boat and equipment were well maintained, and Ariel speaks perfect English.  I played my own music on his stereo the whole time.  Within an hour we landed 3 Jack Cravalle.  When we were tired of fishing that spot we went across the bay and landed a few smaller mahi mahi.  We caught quite a few fish.  When our six hours was up we were packing up to leave, Ariel’s friend called him on the radio and told him he saw a pair of sailfish on the surface of the water…which is rare this time of year in the bay.  Even though our time was up Ariel motored over there as fast as we could.  We found the fish and cast live bait in front of them and ....  Sailfish ON!  Catching that fish was the highlight of my entire week and a top 5 fish I’ve ever caught for sure!  Ariel was a great tour guide and really knew how to fish the area effectively.  Couldn’t have asked for a better trip!

The five stars are for David from Tres Amigos.
Ariel from Calypso accidentally over booked us with another party for the same date. I was not upset because Ariel took the time to make sure we got on another boat. Thank you Ariel.
Captain David and crew were cool, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The boat was very clean and well equipped. We even stopped for live bait fish.
I lost a Jack Crevelle that snapped our line 10 feet from the boat.  I still can’t sleep from thinking about it. My brother did manage to land a Jack Cravelle. He fought it for one hour and twenty five minutes. I’m used to fishing for Salmon, steelheads and sturgeons here at home in Washington State. I must say these Jack Cravelles are stubburn and will keep fighting until the end. Now I understand why they are a trophy fish.
Captain David was so cool, he kept us out in the water for another hour and a half hoping we can land another fish in the boat before docking. We didn’t land another fish but we had a great time. I highly recommend David from Tres Amigos.

Exxelent from start to finish!
Communication before the trip was flawless.
Directions to the boat were dead on.
We were fishing in the bay with light tackle.
Ariel and Louis knew and were friendly with everyone we came across.
Ariel had a plan to locate and target fish.
We started off trolling and looking.
Within the first half hour we had small Bonita that were live lined.
Ariel and louis zeroed in on Red Snapper and Bonita.
We were using small artificial bait - cast and retrieve with gentle jigging.
Hook ups were often and super fun.landed a bunch of fish - Red Snapper - Bonita and a Jack Caravelle that took an hour to land on light tackle.
It is the trip you dream about - perfect!
The Calypso II has a wide variety of services and destinations. The integrity, value and comfort were all top notch.
If you want a safe fun way for the entire family to experience the genuine treasures of Mexico
Book with this outfit.
None of us will forget this trip.
