There's a fish with your name on it in Puerto Vallarta and Carrillo Team will help you catch it! Captain Chema will be your guide, which allows you to benefit from years of professional experience.
These waters are known for Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Sailfish, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Yellowfin Tuna, Roosterfish, Wahoo, Cubera Snapper, Amberjack, Jack Crevalle, and more – with any luck, you'll hook into a few!
You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
The fish caught are yours to take home, so long as they meet regulations. Capt. Chema can even clean your catch for you. Now that's dinner!
Capt. Chema operates a 29' Nava center console with a capacity for 4 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Chema will supply rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to assist you and make sure everything is running smoothly. A 10%–20% tip at the end of the day is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Don't leave home without sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

What really stood out was that they let us do our own casting instead of just handing us the rod after a hookup—made it way more fun and hands-on. The crew was super helpful without being overbearing, always ready with tips but still letting us enjoy the experience ourselves. The boat was clean, the gear worked great, and everything felt well-organized. If you’re looking for a fun, laid-back fishing trip where you actually get involved (and catch fish), I’d definitely recommend these guys. Would 100% book again next time we’re in Puerto Vallarta.

Everyone else was waiting patiently in the staging area for ther captains to show up and Capt Chema was right there, ready to get out on the water. There was good music, great company and wonderful fishing. Each of the 5 of us caught fish - 3 Bonito, 1 Mackerel, and ended with a trophy 8 1/2 ft Salifish. Delicous ceviche and Tequila were an added bonus. Overall, a wonderful fishing experience with some great guides!

It was a split trip with the girls wanting to see whales and the guys wanting to catch some fish. Checked all the boxes here and even had freah ceviche from one of the fish we caught! Great Team here and highly recommend. we did a short trip due to other commitments but I highly recommend the 8hr or more trip!

I've been on many fishing trips in different countries and the one with CARILLO TEAM dad and son (father and son) was extraordinary. I've never seen a crew work so hard to help my 9-year-old grandson catch his trophy - a ROOSTERFISH, one of the most beautiful fish in the Pacific, around 25 pounds, and also his first Tuna at 8 pounds. I was so happy as a grandpa that my grandson got to experience that. The captain prepared the tuna for us right on the boat and we enjoyed it 👍👍👍👍 Thank you CARILLO team 😍😍😍😍

The boat and crew were great, Captain Chema brought alot of experience and was great to talk to- we caught some sharks on a quiet day on the water and they tried their best to get us into our targeted species but sometimes that doesn’t happen-but that’s fishing. I look forward to coming back and trying again with them.
