Captain Teddy Pratt owns and operates Fishing 242 Charters, specializing in big game, bottom, and light tackle fishing in the Nassau and Paradise Island area. He has been a captain for more than 20 years and has run boats of virtually all types and various sizes.
For Captain Teddy, fishing is first and foremost about fun, and having his guests constantly catch fish is a real pleasure. He even goes fishing on some of his days off.
Captain Teddy operates a 32-foot long SeaVee center console, powered by twin Mercury 300 HP Four Stroke engines that ensure a top cruising speed of 35 knots. The vessel features a T-top and comes equipped with a conventional range of electronics and marine technology, such as GPS, radio, as well as fishfinder. The boat can accommodate fishing parties of up to 5 passengers per trip.
Some of the species that Fishing 242 Charters most commonly targets on their trips include Billfish, Wahoo, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and a variety of other popular pelagics and game fish, depending on the season. They'll show you the most productive offshore and reef spots.
All the fishing gear for your party will be provided by the captain, complete with lures for the trip. Bottle water is included in the trip price. You won't have to worry about licenses or catch cleaning either – Captain Teddy will make sure your trip is as comfortable and fun as it gets!

Half Day Trip (AM) on August 11, 2026 • 2 adultsMy son and I had a fantastic time. I didn't really understand at first what the captain was talking about when he said we needed to find the birds and see what is biting, but soon we figured it out. We chased some birds over the open waters and brought in some fish. When I signed up for the trip, I mentioned my son had never caught a mahi-mahi, not really expecting to pick a species. You all know, you get what you get if anything. We caught 5, almost 6, my son had one flip just as he got it to the boat and it was able to spit the hook. Also started with a couple of skipjack tuna. Great day, highly recommend. Boat was comfortable also. Nice seating and roomy.

Teddy is not just an amazing captain but a top tier person too. He was very personable and easy going. He keeps his boat immaculate and organized, which is a relief on its own. While fishing has been slow lately he got us into a school of yellowfin. Thank you Teddy. We will definitely be booking with you again.

Teddy was awesome!! It was our kids first time fishing on a boat, he was very helpful and patient with them. We went bottom fishing and caught over 25 fish! It was a great experience overall, even when the water was a little rough Teddy moved us to an area that was better for our kids!

I have won numerous angling tournaments and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon!
