Nassau is famous in popular culture for its history with pirates. Nowadays the only plundering done is for fish in the extremely rewarding waters of the Bahamas and you'll have Yellowtail Charters by your side, to help you reel that booty in.

The vessel you'll be fishing from is an imposing 42' Sea Yacht, perfectly suited to fishing the high seas around Nassau. She's powered by twin 450 HP Cummins engines, you can expect to go around 21 knots at her maximum cruising speed, perfect for trolling for pelagic predators. The amenities are all there too, a flybridge, fighting chairs, equipment for spearfishing and snorkeling. You can also relax, because there's a full kitchen, bed, A/C cabin, and a multimedia system on board.

The local fish species are bountiful and very fun to catch – Amberjacks, Barracuda, Mahi Mahi, Yellowtail Snappers, Wahoo, Skipjack Tuna, Sailfish, and finally, the Blue Marlin. Throughout all of this you'll be assisted and instructed by Captain Shalako Moxey, the owner and a fisherman with over 30 years under his tackle belt. You'll go reef fishing, bottom fishing, snorkeling and spearfishing, and deep sea fishing. You'll go up to 20 miles offshore on longer trips.

All the required equipment is provided by the captain. There is no minimum age for children, the captain provides life vests in all sizes. The vessel is disabled accessible and anglers of all skill levels are invited to join Yellowtail Charters on this fishing adventure!

Great Trip
3/4 Day Trip on July 14, 20264 adults

We had an incredible day on the water with the Captain and his two sons! They were friendly, knowledgeable and worked hard from start to finish to make sure we had an amazing experience. They knew exactly where the fish were and kept us on them all day. We caught fish after fish and had an absolute blast! It was clear how much they love what they do, and their teamwork made the trip even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a charter with a hardworking crew that knows how to put you on the fish while making the day fun and memorable, this is the one to book. We can't recommend them enough and will definitely be back!

Action start to finish
Half Day Trip (PM) on July 15, 20262 adults3 children

Captin Moxie and crew gave us the option of going deep sea fishing or staying more shallow which usually means more action for the kids. we chose the more action route. On our way out the crew saw an opportunity to go deep and it worked out and we caught a tuna. we then went shallow and caught a number of fish before trollimg the reefs and catching some yellow tail and barracuda. Nev and Mikey were great with the kids and very accommodating.

absolutely the BEST day in the Bahamas, thanks to the Yellowtail crew!
Full Day Trip on June 16, 20262 adults

From start to finish, just an outstanding experience! Koren was so helpful and answered all of my questions. Mario was very passionate about keeping fish on the hook, and knew the waters like the back of his hand. Nev kept the baits and lures fresh, swapping out while were 'hunting' to find what worked. Jackson surprised us by letting us know he was relatively new to the crew, but he has obviously picked up quickly and was lightning fast grabbing rods and putting them in the chair. The crew had us pulling in a barracuda before i even realized lines were in the water, and my shoulders are truly wore out from all the bonito and blackfin we kept catching. I went out with my main target being a blue marlin, and although we weren't able to get one to bite, this crew gave it all they had and made sure we had an amazing day on the water. If you're coming to the Bahamas and want the best day on a boat, the only choice is Yellowtail!

Very good trip. Excellent crew!!
Half Day Trip (AM) on July 16, 20263 adults

Went on 1/2 day AM trip with my 2 sons. Crew couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. Super accommodating. Cant say enough good things. Boat was nice, not spectacular. Definitely suited for its purpose. First hour or so went by without a catch. However after moving some, we reeled in 7 barracuda, including one huge one. Scenery and water was beautiful. Good amount of fish caught. Excellent crew. Only "minor" disappointment was the lack of array of fish we caught after looking at some of the pictures on the website. But that's fishing- every trip is a bit different i suppose.
