Rock Harbor is a tidal harbor, so your captain's sailing schedule changes with the tides. Call the captain before the trip, so he can confirm the right meeting TIME. Trip starting times change with the tide.

On board Cape Cod Bay Charters, you'll get to explore the plentiful waters of Cape Cod's famous bay. Even better, you'll be traveling alongside a local captain who's been cruising these fishing grounds since 1980!

In addition to his wealth of local knowledge and experience, Captain Hap Farrell also crafts his very own rods and reels. When you head out onto the water, you'll be armed with fishing gear that is perfectly suited to your skill level and the species you're targeting. Get ready to hook the Bluefish or Bass of your dreams.

Capt. Hap's custom made fishing gear is as diverse as the guests he welcomes on board his vessel – whether you're an expert-level angler, traveling with little ones, or are just starting your fishing career, you'll be provided with equipment that'll give you the best shot possible at hooking your target fish. With special gear for women, children, and anglers who want to hook Cow Striper on seriously light tackle, all you need to do is choose your weapon and get ready to fish on!

You'll be fishing from your captain's 35' Harris saltwater vessel, named 'The Stunmai II.' She's powered by a 313 HP Cummins engine and has room for up to 6 guests. She's decked out with top-quality navigational gear, a private toilet, and life jackets in a variety of sizes, although Capt. Hap recommends bringing your own for little ones.

You'll be fishing the plentiful waters of the bay from Rock Harbor in Orleans, and will use your captain's custom-made light trolling tackle to target 2 East Coast staples: Bluefish and huge Striped Bass.

As well as your captain's expertly-crafted fishing gear, your trip also includes lures and a fishing license for the boat. All that's left is to grab some snacks and join Cape Cod Bay Charters for an unforgettable ad

Half day trip with Captain Happ and August!
Half Day Trip on August 25, 20215 adults

I have to say, Captain Happ was great with my three teenage daughters and my wife on their first charter experience. He was knowledgeable, safe, and communicated his knowledge and direction very clearly. August, the 17y/o high school senior, was absolutely PERFECT and flawless! A perfect gentleman to all, and such a well informed and hard worker! He worked the stern of the boat, full of women mind you, (1st time anglers to boot) with the patience, understanding, and knowledge of an old kind soul. Captain Happ put us in the right spots, let us try multiple fishing rigs/equipment throughout the day, and openly shared his years of experience and interesting stories. August set us up with equipment, pulled in our catches, took pictures with us, kept the boat clean, released or saved and filleted our catches, performed on point when Captain Happ gave direction, etc……And this was all while partaking in interesting conversations about multiple topics with us all. I and my family would 100% do this again with these two gentleman, on this boat! Thank you, fellas!

Half day trip with Captain Hap and First Mate August

A great half day spent with Captain Hap and August. The Captain and August are very knowledgeable and skilled. Both extremely friendly, especially dealing with a 7 year old. Thanks for the memories.

I've been fishing out of Rock Harbor for almost 40 years, primarily for Striped Bass and Bluefish. Lately, I've been building my own rods for specific methods of fishing. I mostly troll for the Bass and Bluefish and I like using really light action trolling tackle when I can. I can bring you down to 2 lb test trolling tackle if you want. Captain Hap Farrell began running charters in 1980, so it's safe to say he has plenty of experience when it comes to providing incredible angling adventures out on these waters. He's local to this area and has been fishing since the age of 7. In the past, he worked at a tackle shop, where he learned how to make rods and reels. He's now proud to say that he makes all of his own gear! Capt. Hap customizes rods and reels to suit different types of fishing and different types of anglers and has customized fishing gear for every variety of angling that he now offers on his charter. Who could be better equipped to take you out on an incredible trip
