Nano Guerrero invites you to go fishing around the scenic flats of Ambergris Caye, Belize. This is a chance to experience the flats of the beautiful south and west coast of the cove with a local guide and 2017 winner of the Tres Pescados fly fishing tournament, Nano Guerrero.
You can enjoy a day in the flats and inshore lagoons scouting tailing fish and schools of feeding fish.
Captain Nano is great with experienced fishermen and the inexperienced as well, he will guide and assist throughout the day to ensure that you have a memorable fishing experience in Belize.
You will be fishing from a 23’ Imemsa flats boat that can take up to two anglers. She is powered by a 60 HP Mercury four-stroke engine. She allows for intimate fishing around many nooks and crannies of these flats and lagoon waters. You’re going to love the ‘hide and seek’ game with the fish.
As for the catch, you can get a variety of species, including Tarpon, Snook, Permit, Bonefish, Mutton Snapper, Ladyfish, and some Cobia. It’s fast-paced action, with brutes biting throughout the year.
The rates include all fishing equipment, water, and ice to keep your beverages cool. You also have the option to bring your personal fishing gear. You are advised to bring your own sun protection gear (spray sunscreen is not allowed on board for your own safety as it makes the floor slippery). Please remember to purchase a fishing license. Pack foods and beverages. Smoking is not allowed.
The captain will supply Sage fly gear, as well as Redington rods, with Hatch and Lamson reels, as well as Penn spinning gear. Capt. Nano mostly uses 6-w rods, or in case of wind, 7 or 8s. He will prepare live bait, and tie the flies, which will be available to you for no additional cost. If you’re chasing Tarpon, it’s best to bring your own flies. Kids are welcome and life vests will be waiting for them onboard.

Great Guide - Great Fishing
Capt. Nano puts you on fish. My buddy and I booked two trips with Capt. Nano, this was our first time in Belize and our first time chasing Tarpon and Bonefish. Capt. Nano was simply excellent. He not only put us on fish but he taught us the best ways to approach and cast at them in order to get them to bite. We did both spinning and fly gear and caught fish on both. We were not the best at casting to the right spot and spooked plenty of fish (angler error), but Capt. Nano stayed patient and continued to work hard to give us more opportunities to catch. We plan to make many more trips to Belize and we will fish with Capt. Nano every time.

Nano was awesome
We were very pleased with our fishing trip with Nano. He did everything in his power to get us to where the fish were, but the fishermen were not as successful as everyone would have hoped. That is not Nano's fault. It was lack of skill and experience on the two fishermen. I would definitely recommend Nano to anyone that would like a guided tour with someone that tries very hard to make sure you catch fish.

Captain Nano Is so patient and helpful on getting a beginner to learn and work through things to actually have success. He Knows how to locate lots of fish and put you in a good location for casting. Catching one would have been a success with my skill level. Nano worked very hard and gave me so many opportunities that somehow I managed to get five very nice bonefish! Thank you very much.
