Sport Fishing Arantza 

The morning started out slow and I don't believe any of the other boats were having much luck either. The captain decided to try one of his favorite spots to fish for Trigger Fish. Instantly, they were biting - it was insane! This was my first time fishing for Triggers and it took some getting used to, but the crew took their time to coach me and I had an amazing time. Honestly, I'd go back just to fish for Trigger Fish! And if you haven't eaten them - you're missing out! We also caught a barracuda and a king mackerel! I definitely recommend!!!!

Great trip, great day and great crew. my hands are sore from all the reeling! We got lucky right away and the fish just kept coming, yes nothing legendary but a great fishing day, thank you

Whilst it seemed like a quiet day for fishing with most of the other boats not catching a fish. We managed to pull out a large Barracuda! The crew then stopped off on the way back and setup a couple of rods to fish on the bottom where we also caught a variety of other snapper and banana fish. The crew were brilliant and provided everything you could need for a 4 hour trip. 100% would recommend again and it was a fantastic experience. Thanks again!

We (two adults, two kids aged 9 and 11) did a half-way trip with Sport Fishing Arantza. The captain and first mate did not really speak English, and we barely speak Spanish, but despite that, communication worked out quite well. The guys did a good job entertaining our kids as well, let them steer the boat and suggesting we make a stopover at a cenote nearby. We also caught a 1-meter Mahi-mahi, so my husband was happy!

Captain had his first mate meet us in front of the reef beach club right in front of security. From there you walk down to the beach using a beach road right next to the resort. This is a very short walk maybe a few hundred yards. The boat is anchored in the water so some sort of water shoes is a must. You’re really only knee deep getting on the boat. From there your in beautiful blue water in five minutes. The captain and first mate asked us what we wanted to catch or do we care what we fish for. We wanted a barracuda and these guys did everything they could to get us one. Ballyhoo we’re fished on top weedless, deep with trolling anchors and with skirts and chuggers. They were constantly changing up depths trying to find the fish. There were weed beds making them constantly reel in and clean the rigs and they worked the whole time. There was beer,sodas and water in the cooler for us complimentary. We saw sea turtles , jellyfish and some speargun fisherman along the seedbeds. Seas were 2-3 feet and the boat handled it well. The only fish if the day was this barracuda and they worked for it! I’m Mexico there is always a small language barrier but these guys communicated very well in English and were pretty positive and upbeat guys! I will finish this review with some thoughts. 1- I felt safe the entire time from the first meeting to drop off. It was me and my 11yr old son so this was important. 2- fishing is never a guarantee but these guys work hard and know what they’re doing. 3- the boat is a safe fishing skiff 4- you can fish for what you want ! ( within reason) 5-there is a fighting chair that will fit kids and adults. I would recommend this charter to anyone wanting to give fishing in Playa Del Carmen a shot. I feel we got way more than we payed for.

Was here a day after hurricane Beryl passed through, everyone was very helping with getting everything replanned and back to catching fish! The crew were knowledgeable and had great conversations throughout the trip. The hurricane threw some challenges when fishing but I did a solo trip and still hit double digits. Great time, didn’t get many pictures from the trip but I’m glad to share the few I had time to snap!

I had a wonderful time with sport fishing aranza. We caught two dorado and a barracuda and they filleted them for us. In addition they took me snorkeling to a gorgeous location where we saw a variety of beautiful fish including two puffer fish. They also took my wife to shore when she felt sick and let me continue the trip (additional $25 docking fee), which she really appreciated. Overall highly recommend!

Juan Carlos and Aurelio were amazing. We caught several fish but just kept one. Even though the despite that fish were not biting they were trying their best to keep moving and throwing lines. We had a ceviche with the fish we got in the boat, and it was the best ceviche I have ever had in my life. They make a lot of different fishing trips so do not hesitate to ask them, they have a lot of experience. We cannot wait to come back and probably book them again for a night fishing and hopefully they are not booked up so we can try this fishing that they were telling us. Thank you for everything

Had a really good day. Crew was very friendly. I explained Joe I wanted to land a big fish, but wanted to hunt some smaller species to add to my list. We landed a very nice barracuda and had fresh ceviche that was amazing and the best I’ve ever had. They set us up in a very nice spot to try snoring and was pretty cool for a new experience. Although I wanted to catch my intended fish Mahi Mahi, the ocean didn’t give it up. The crew tried very hard, just wasn’t in my cards that day. Great day and thank you
