Tarpon

Trip Summary

Steve joined us for an evening dipping crabs and fishing for tarpon during the infamous hill tide in Boca Grande. This is a hard outgoing tide causing crabs ( a tarpon's favorite snack) to flow out of the pass. This gets the tarpon all fired up. Anglers line up to throw some silver in the air. Congrats to Steve, he was successful in boating his first tarpon tonight and jumping many others. Tackle talk, he used a Penn Battle 2500 with 50lb Bullbuster Braid & Fluorocarbon Leader to a Tsunami Airwave Costal Series Rod. Live bait blue crab and 7/0 circle hook.
