Whether you're looking for a fish fry, want to learn some new things, or go fishing and relax with friends, Lakeside Guide Service has the right trip for you! Professional licensed guide Chris Daugherty grew up Crappie fishing in north-central Texas and has been fishing Lewisville Lake since 2009.
Fishing out of his 22' center console boat gives you maximum space and comfort. The GPS and wireless trolling motor allow your guide to focus on helping you catch fish and maximize your time on the water.
The boat can accommodate up to 6 people who can all fish at once. There is plenty of storage, but you're welcome to bring your own coolers.
You'll be targeting Crappie or White Bass with your guide. Expect to run into Catfish and Hybrid Stripers as well while learning all there is to know about fishing these waters.
Your guide will provide all the equipment you need, including rods, reels, bait, lures, and tackle. He will make sure to clean and bag your fish after the trip for you to take home. You'll be using live bait prepared in advance, but you can use artificial as well.
Kids are always welcome as guide Chris has a passion for teaching and introducing them to an activity that will produce lifelong memories. There are life jackets of all sizes, so you can relax while spending time with your family.

We booked this charter to celebrate a milestone 50th birthday, and the Captain absolutely delivered. He knew exactly where to go and put us right on top of some incredible fishing holes. We ended up bringing in a fantastic mix of white bass, crappie, and hybrid stripers. The Captain was professional, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone had an amazing time from start to finish. If you want a guide who genuinely knows the water and works hard to keep your lines tight, look no further. Highly recommend!

Had an amazing time on our guided fishing trip! The water was calm and beautiful, and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. Our guide was incredibly friendly, patient, and knowledgeable—he answered all our questions and even taught us some new techniques that made the experience even better. The whole trip was smooth and relaxing, from the pleasant boat ride to having all the gear provided for us. We literally just had to show up and enjoy the day. To top it off, he even filleted our catch for us at the end! Highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a fun, stress-free day on the water.
We had a fantastic experience with Lakeside Fishing Service and our captain, Chris, on Lake Lewisville. My seven-year-old granddaughter had been begging me for a long time to take her fishing on a real boat, and Chris made that first experience absolutely memorable. He was incredibly patient with her, teaching her how to set the bail on the fishing rod, how to bob the lure up and down, and even reminding her to proudly shout “Fish on!” when she got a bite. She took to it right away and has already said she wants to go back. Chris was just as patient with me and my son-in-law as we asked questions about reeling in bigger fish and learning better techniques. More than once, I had to call him over to help unhook a fish that had swallowed the hook a little too deep, and he handled it quickly and kindly every time. He kept us moving to different spots around Lake Lewisville to make sure we had the best chance of catching fish, and he definitely delivered. At the end of the trip, he cleaned all of our fish for us. All in all, it was a great experience from start to finish. Chris was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and made the trip enjoyable for all three generations of our family. Highly recommend Lakeside Fishing Service!

Capt Chris was amazig,he is ll about safety first and ensurin everyone has fun. He knew just where to go for us to enjoy catching fish. My granddaughter had a blast. First time being on a boat, he said she's ready to go again. Both my son's enjoye thir father's day surprise. I highly recommend Capt Chris.

When I moved back to the Dallas area I renewed my passion for crappie fishing and have been fishing Lewisville Lake since 2009. I began guiding so I could combine my 2 biggest passions - fishing and teaching. Every day on the lake presents a learning opportunity. I welcome all ages and skill levels, from beginner to seasoned angler.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
