A professional charter operator since 2004, Captain Oscar Mercado has built the business up from the ground. An avid angler himself, he now employs Captains Edgar and Anthony, who will look after you. Both have years of experience behind them and promise to do everything they can to make sure you land the catch of your dreams.
There's room for up to 3 anglers aboard the 23' traditional Arca de la Paz boat. Built with fishing in mind, she's light and agile, meaning you'll get to the fishing grounds in no time. She boasts outriggers and fighting chair to give you the edge over the fish, too, so get ready for an exciting day out.
Make yourself at home aboard, and don't forget to load up with drinks and snacks and bring your own cooler. You'll need all the energy you can get, as you put your strength to the test against some monster creatures.
Even on a half-day trip, you'll come up against some serious beasts, with Marlin, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Tuna, and Yellowtails all calling these rich waters home. Get ready to work up a sweat to land what may be the catch of your lifetime, and may prove to be a delicious treat at the end of the day.
Experienced spearfishers are welcome aboard to test their skills with a pole gun too. The crew has plenty of equipment for all on board, but just make sure to get in touch before you go so that everything is set up for you.
At the end of your trip, you can head to a beachside cleaning station to have your fish prepared ready for cooking. All you need to do is show up at least 30 minutes before departure and away you go.

Oscar and crew were exceptional. They wee professional, hardwrking and safe. To top it off we caught a lot of fish. Him and his crew will teach you and help when needed, just the right amount. Our fishing adventure in Cabo San Lucas was nothing short of spectacular, thanks to Captain Armando's expertise. Right from the start, he put us on Roosterfish within the first hour, delivering instant excitement. My 9-year-old son was thrilled, and Armando patiently taught him essential skills like tying hooks and lures, leveraging the rod for better control, and guiding the line smoothly. It was an invaluable learning experience for a young angler. Shifting gears, we trolled the open waters and hooked a vibrant Mahi-Mahi, followed by several Skipjack, Bonita, and Sierra fish. The morning was action-packed, with non-stop bites and reeling. This trip was perfect for a father-son bonding experience—truly memorable and heartfelt. Such an amazing trip with Oscar! He is so knowledgeable about finding the fish and also patient in teaching others on the best form to reel them in. I booked him for myself and my seven year old and we caught almost 200 pounds worth of fish!
