Northwest Saltwater Adventures offers guided fishing and marine adventure tours on Vancouver Island. They service the Campbell River and Nootka Sound areas. Let their friendly, professional guides take you to the best fishing spots and help you catch your new trophy. The trips are family-friendly and beginners are welcome to join. There are also extended adventures for all of you hard-core anglers, looking for an epic time on the water.
You'll be fishing aboard a custom 25' Thunderjet Tyee. This aluminum boat accommodates up to 5 guests and she's powered by a 300 HP Yamaha engine. With a large deck space, heated cabin, and comfortable seating, you'll enjoy a safe and dry ride throughout the day. There's also a private toilet for your convenience.
Hook into a legendary Tyee Chinook Salmon or bottom fish for delicious Halibut and Lingcod. You can also catch Rockfish and other Salmon species (Chum, Pink, and Coho). Depending on your target, you can go trolling, bottom fishing, and jigging.
All fishing equipment is covered by the captain. He'll also prepare some soft drinks but feel free to bring other food and drinks of your choice. The crew will also clean and fillet your catch after the trip, so you can enjoy the freshest fish meat you'll ever try.

Myself, my son, my son's girlfriend's father and her brother recently went on a Salmon fishing trip with Northwest Saltwater Adventures. I can honestly say it was one of the most rewarding experiences I have had, being I am from Saskatoon. Right from the moment we found the location, to the meeting with our guide (Royce) and his wife (Kelly) at the dock, in the early morning, was smooth & well organized. The boat was very clean and well equipped. Royce was not only knowledgeable and was also incredibly patient & helpful, especially for those of us who weren't seasoned salmon anglers. The scenery alone made our visit worthy of our trip. We encountered Whales, plus a pod of Orca's. The real thrill was when we caught something. The fish were strong and aggressive and tested our muscles and endurance to say the least. When we were done fishing and back to the dock, Royce cleaned and packaged our catch for our trip back home. Whether your'e a die hard angler or just looking to try something new, I highly recommend Captain Royce and his crew to provide you with a life time experience. Was a great three days out on the water with you guys. We battled through the rough conditions and still managed to get into some fish. Looking forward to next year and getting another shot at that elusive big chinook.
Everything exactly as advertised. Easy to get to. The captain had us reeling in fish early and often. Coho, chinook, lingcod, and a shark! When the water got rough he found us another location less rough which also had fish.

Had a great time on our fishing trip. The captain was very good and I helped him out when I could. We had lots of bits had some on and lost them. We went to a different location and tried and and we caught 2 ling cod and a pink salmon. It would have been nice to catch a spring salmon but there were whales in the area. I will go back next year and do it again. Thanks for the great fishing trip
Thank you Scott for the review! The orcas have definitely made the chinooks more scarce this year! And so many wild coho make it like winning the lottery to get hatchery marked. But that's why it's called fishing not catching I suppose. We appreciate you coming onboard and look forward to better luck next year!
