JT and Alex were fantastic guides for our group of 5 from upstate NY. The weather was unfortunately not in our favor this morning and storms were passing through, but JT was sure to contact us before leaving our Airbnb 25 minutes from the boat and offered to wait it out for a few more hours. We still got the entirety of our 5-hour trip and then some out in the water, regardless of the late start. He communicated very thoroughly, confirming at the time of booking, the night before and the day of our trip. He was sure to mention all of the important steps for us to follow and tips he had - for both fishing and sight seeing. His assistant Jesus (government name: Alex) was friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to give our crew the best experience possible. It’s a bit tricky to find but JT gave excellent directions and texted photos of the map for the shopping center and how to find them. At the end, we got to keep all of the fish we caught, and JT and Jesus washed them and laid them out so we could take a group photo! They even weighed a 16.5 lb albacore caught by our dad and checked for citations for weight! Sadly, it fell short by 3.5 lbs, but was still exciting nonetheless. Down the dock is a booth where you can have your fish cleaned and filleted for a very reasonable price. Exceptional experience and highly recommend! Would definitely book another tour with Under Pressure!

Under Pressure provided my daughter and I with an awesome experience! This was our first offshore fishing trip and Captain JT gave us an adventure to remember. He used his knowledge of the local waters to maximize fishing time and had us on fish all day. We caught Wahoo on the way out and on the way back in, jigged a 54 pound Amberjack, and hooked multiple Tuna. First Mate Alex hustled to keep the baits fresh and change lure sets as we targeted new fish. By the end of the day we were exhausted from our time in the fighting chair, but had a combined catch of 145 pounds in the ice box to show for all the effort. Under Pressure exceeded all of our expectations. We would highly recommend them and are already looking forward to our next trip on the water with Captain JT and First Mate Alex. My husband has been wanting to do a trip like this forever. We sold our house and moved to NC and finally got the opportunity to do so. Captain TJ called a few nights before to go over everything ad to see if we had any questions we departed at 5:30 am and departed to a beautiful sunrise and a beautiful day to go fishing captain TJ and first mate Alex (who was fricken awesome by the way) Cap always put us onto fish and what was even more special he came to fish with us and To show us what to do we cause so many fish and lost a few big ones. We got Amber Jacks, Baracuda, B Liner, Black Sea Bass it’s totally worth doing the full day tour. We had an awesome time can’t wait to go again…. Thank you First Mate Alex & Captain TJ

This was a great charter experience! We caught several species of fish, one of them being tuna that we wanted to target. After we caught several black fin tuna, the captain asked if we’d be interested in trying for some different species. We went out after amberjack and caught our limit of them and then we targeted wahoo and mahi-mahi we were able to pull a couple mahi-mahi a bunch of false albacore and Skip Jack as well. Captain JT definitely has a ton of experience on the water and knows how to get you on the fish. I highly recommend under pressure charters. His mate Alex did a great job as well making sure that we had lines in the water at all times and was very knowledgeable about the area.

Awesome deep sea fishing trip for our son's graduation celebration...all the way from TX to OBX, NC! Great first time experience for our family that already loves to fish. Captain, JT, put us on the fish and safely in/out to sea with a few jokes in between. Deckhand, Alex, was amazingly patient, working hard ensuring we got our fish on-hook and in the boat ...and most importantly made it a memomemorable experience for our son! Ride-a-long help, Josh, helped with the rigs, bait, and our catch too. We caught amberjack and wahoo to bring back with us. Thanks guys!!
