This was our first time in the Outer Banks. Our trip started at 6 am. It was me and my three sons. We departed out the inlet to the Atlantic. Soon we were catching Spanish Mackrel. Captain Ethan and his crew were enthusiastic and highly competent. Unfortunate once the July sun came up the fish stopped biting. The ride on the boat was fun as well. We caught more than enough for an exclent meal. Captan Ethan fileted the fish put them on ice for us. I would highly recommend Captain Eathan and Seas the Day to anyone looking to have an excellent fishing experience.

Best. Day. Ever….
Captain Ethan took us to several different spots during on offshore trip, and every one of them was a winner.
The whole trip was exciting and fish filled. Our first bite of the morning was a sailfish!!! While the sailfish was immediately released (too small), it was an amazing experience for my kids.
We basically had half our limit of mahi-mahi by 9:30, and our final tally of fish landed at the end of the day was 54 mahi, 8 Big Amberjack (which could have been 20 if they hadnt simply tired us out—- all thanks to Captain Ethan’s hidden “wreck spot”), and a good sized grouper. We kept as much as we wanted to transport and released the rest. Only sad moment was the huge tuna that got away. Very exciting day.
Captain Ethan is professional, courteous, and patient with the kids. All in all, we couldnt have picked a better charter.
