Running angling trips out of Texas City, Mangus 2 Charters invites you to check out the local fishery in style.

Capt. Robert will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. He specializes in drift fishing, all to get you on that bite. This involves 6-hour trips, mainly fishing for Flounder, Redfish, and Spotted Seatrout, depending on the season and conditions on the day.

Your fishing adventure starts on a 22' Mako boat that can safely take up to 4 anglers.

The price of your trip includes all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle you'll need for a productive day on the water. It does not cover the use of live bait customer will reimburse the captain for the use of live bait.

Please make sure to buy a valid fishing license ahead of time.

You can keep anything you catch, as long as it's legal to do so.

4 Hour Trip on June 13, 2025 • 2 adults • 2 children

My two sons and I met Captain Bob at 4:30 in the morning and were on the water and fishing in a blink of the eye. He got us on the fish and my two boys were reeling them in one after another. We caught flounder, speckled trout, and red fish. Fighting a bull red to the boat as the sky lightened in the east was an amazing experience. He could not have been more friendly and informative with my sons. I HIGHLY recommend anyone in the Houston/Galveston area check out Mangus 2 Charters And Captain Bob.

Captain Bob was a great charter host. He is well experienced at finding the fish, but also great at socializing during a 6 hour trip. The boat was about the minimum size for four people, but it worked pretty good. We caught close to our limit in trout and a slot red. Weather wasn’t perfect but he managed it well enough. Overall, we had a blast and would definitely seek him out for another charter!

Good day on water

4 Hour Trip on September 6, 2025 • 3 adults

Had a good time out on the water! Even though the fish weren’t really biting that day, our guide worked hard to put us on them. We ended up catching two huge redfish and a few speckled trouts.

He knew exactly where to go, kept things interesting and made sure we all had what we needed to fish. Can’t say enough about how much effort he put in to make the trip memorable.

Highly recommend booking a trip with Capt. Bob you’ll be in good hands. 🎣
