Had an incredible day on the water with Darren. From start to finish, he worked hard to keep us on fish, and we ended up catching multiple species on the fly. His knowledge of the water, the fish, and fly fishing in general is second to none. What really stood out was how much effort he put into making sure we had a great experience. Great guide, great guy, and an all-around awesome day on the water. We’ll absolutely be fishing with Darren again. Couldn’t recommend him enough.

what an amazing experience. I came to learn or discover the technique of flyfishing and I conquered that. I also was able to land a fish. Our trout fishing trip with Darren was everything we wanted! Fly fishing and rainbow trout was the goal and was a complete success! I started out fishing with my Grandpa when I was 5 yrs old. I guess you can say I got 'hooked'. I was fortunate to grow up on a lake and loved to be on the water. My Dad used to say he never worried about me getting in trouble, he knew if he drove around the neighborhood he'd spot me on the lake somewhere. The only trouble I got into was being late to the dinner table. My love for trout fishing began in high school when I started fishing the MO trout opener at Montauk state park with my high school buddies. I moved to Springfield, MO in the early 90's to go to Southwest Missouri State and began working at Bass Pro Shops in the White River Fly Shop. It was at this point that I really developed as a fly fisherman. I fell in love with the Ozark waterways and all that they had to offer. I have been fly fishing the Ozarks and White River Basin for over 30 years now and love sharing my tips, tricks, and tactics with my clients!

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

Transfer to/from departure site may be available and included in price depending on your location and distance from the dock.

When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 20% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
