Days Off Outfitters offers fun guided bay fishing trips in Port O'Connor, Texas. Whether it's fishing from the boat or wading, Captain Ricki Oliver will address your needs and make sure you have a great time on the water. Your trip will start on a 23' Shoalwater saltwater fishing boat that can accommodate up to 4 anglers. The boat's engine is a 250 HP Suzuki with a maximum cruising speed of 54 knots and it will take you to the fish in no time. There's quality GPS and fishfinder electronics that help locating your prey and that will keep you on the right track. The boat also features a livewell to provide you with live bait.
There are various inshore, nearshore, lake, reef, and flats spots you can explore. The species you'll target include Spotted Seatrout, Black Drum, Redfish, Flounder, and even Hammerhead Shark. You'll catch them by bottom fishing, spinning, popping, and drift fishing, using light and heavy tackle. The fish you catch is yours to keep, but you're free to release it if you wish. Kids are welcome to join aboard.
Captain Ricki will provide all rods, reels, tackle, and lures, and will clean and fillet your catch as well. Live or dead bait will be extra charge, the fee could be between $60 and $120. Just bring fishing licenses, food, and some drinks, and you're set to go.

Full Day Trip on July 2, 2022 • 4 adultsOur morning started out slow, a few undersized reds. We worked several different spots but not much action. Captain Rick was kept us moving and he was constantly networking with other guides trying to get us on fish. We were getting down to our last hour when the call came in of fish being caught. He got us there and we drift fished until we all limited out on redfish!!! Captain Rick went above and beyond to ensure a fun, exciting and successful trip was had by all. We will be contacting him again for our next trip.

Ricky was aware enough of the weather and conditions to make a run for safe harbor. After a short break. Ricky saved the day by finding a spot where we limited out on sheepshead and caught some giant drum. Only hitch was we were unaware the he doesn't take credit card. So awkward moment to find an ATM.

Captain Ricki grew up with a fishing family who enjoyed sitting on the sidelines of the Jetty's and soaking some cut bait. At the age of 17, he purchased his first boat. The addiction really took off then. He has spent 38 years of his life fishing in Port O' Connor, Texas. Now, Captain Ricki continues this passion with his family, friends, and customers. Days Off Outfitters fishes POC year-round, and takes full advantage of the fabulous duck season POC has to offer.
