Captain Jeff and first mate Jose are one of the very best tandem captain first mate teams i have ever experienced.  Jose does not stop period!  He tends everything, seemingly never misses a strike, and so considerate.  Captain Jeff is a master at maneuvering the boat for leverage. We went 9 for 14 on the Sailfish including gone that measured 106”.  So impressed with this duo.  Boat is immaculately clean and Jose keeps it that way all day.  They are prepared, i felt like i am being served at a 5 star restaurant.  The blue tooth “play your play list” was an added touch.  Kudos i give them a Michelin star!!!

I booked a full-day charter with Jeff and Jose and couldn’t be happier. The boat and tackle were pristine. The gear was meticulously rigged. Jose and Jeff didn’t stop working the entire day.  Jose was continuously switching washed-out baits for fresh baits and frequently changed up things in the spread when the bite slowed down. When the bite picked up, he was working even harder allowing us to double up on several instances. Jeff put the boat in the most optimal spot for the highest chance of getting bites. He was methodical and deliberate. Both Jeff and Jose were doing everything they could to raise fish and they performed. A bunch of sailfish later my girlfriend and I were tired and have a ton of great memories.
Jeff and Jose are accommodating and easygoing. They make things fun on the boat for both avid fishermen and those who are not as seasoned. Fishing is fishing and sometimes things are slow, but I can assure you Jeff and the Bucket List crew will do everything in their power to put the boat in the most optimal spot to catch fish.
I will be booking another trip on Bucket List Sportfishing.

Wow!!!  This is how I would describe my wife’s and mine fishing experience with Captain Jeff and his first mate Placo on The Bucketlist Sportfishing boat. Not only were they great and their hospitality was awesome but Captain Jeff also knew how to put us on the fish.  My wife wanted to catch a Mahi Mahi and we were able to hook 4 amazing fish but I wanted to catch either Marlin or Sailfish and I hooked into a monster and got him to the boat. The fight was like no other and worth every penny.  If Sportfishing is on your list than you absolutely have to book with Bucket List Sportfishing.  We will definitely do this again when we come back to Costa Rica. 5 Stars for sure.  Thank you Jeff and Placo for an amazing time.

Jeff with Bucket List Sport Fishing and crew Jose are amazing. What a great two days of fishing.  So knowledgeable and fun.  Took my family out for a fishing trip of a lifetime.  Caught 20 sailfish and 5 tuna.  Couldn’t ask for a better captain and crew.  Top notch equipment, excellent food, great communication.  Will be rebooking another trip with Bucket list in the future

We had a great day except for the fact that it was cut around 1.5 hours short due to the weather. In hind sight we should have only gone for the 8 hour day instead of the 10 hour day but who knew. It would have been cool to have only been charged for an 8 hour day since that’s how long we ended up being out there, but we didn’t want to end on an awkward note at the time so we didn’t bring it up. Perhaps our captain would have been cool with that. That being said, our captain and crew worked hard to help us catch 6 sailfish, 2 tuna and a dorado. We made some great memories and were able to bring some fish home too.
