Get to know Quepos like never before when you book a trip through Grey’s Fishing Tour.
Around here you can cast a line in inshore nearshore, and offshore waters, including some spots that only the locals know about. It’s common to go fly fishing, which is how you’ll get acquainted with these waters. You may also jig and bottom fish, bottom fish, spin or cast a popping cork, and cast a popping cork for your catch. Greivin will provide rods and reels, as well as lures and live bait.
Species like Amberjack, Pacific Barracuda, Bonito, Mahi Mahi, Red Grouper, African Pompano Jack, Black Marlin, Striped Marlin, White Marlin, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, and more inhabit these waters, depending on the time of year.
Any fish open to harvest that are caught during the trip are yours to take with you. Greivin will even clean your catch for you so it’s easy to cook. Now that’s a fresh meal! Your fishing machine will be a 28’ AquaSport sportfishing vessel that holds up to 5 passengers.
Be sure to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group ahead of time. You can find out more online, including exceptions that may apply. You’re encouraged to dress in layers and the proper footwear (if you aren’t sure what that means, just ask). It’s never a bad idea to bring sunscreen, and sunglasses, rain or shine.
Greivin will have some snacks and drinks for you and welcomes anglers of all ages on these trips, including kids. Remember to ask if child-sized life vests are available; otherwise, you’ll have to bring your own.
