The goal of Rising Sun Fishing is to provide an experience to its guests that they will be talking about all year! Whether you are an avid or a first-time angler, Captain Pierre Agena will provide his knowledge and 10+ years of experience in the area to give you the best opportunities to catch fish. Come to Wrightsville Beach and make some memories! Captain Pierre will be sure to show you a great time!
Come fish on a Carolina skiff that’s got all the bells and whistles for inshore fishing. This 19’ boat can sit up to 4 guests and runs on a new 115 HP Suzuki engine. For navigation, it uses all the modern GPS, fishfinder, as well as radio technology that will help you reach the fish safely and efficiently. The boat is also equipped with an i-Pilot trolling motor, two Power-Poles, a livewell, and cooler!
There are various quality species you can chase on your trip, some of them being Redfish, Flounder, Trout, Spanish Mackerel, Sheepshead and more. For catching, you will use live bait, artificial lures, trolling, and jigging on light tackle. You can keep your legal catch and our trips are kid friendly!
The captain will provide all the quality Penn fishing gear as well as fishing licenses, so you should only bring your favorite food and drinks.

An Unforgettable Experience with Captain Pierre and Rising Sun Fishing Charter!
I truly can’t say enough good things about Captain Pierre and our amazing day with Rising Sun Fishing Charter. From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations, from the quality of the boat and gear to the personalized attention we received throughout the trip. Captain Pierre is incredibly friendly, funny, and knowledgeable, the kind of person who instantly puts you at ease and makes the entire experience more enjoyable. He worked with us to reschedule when we had a conflict and was extremely accommodating, which we really appreciated. The boat was spotless, the rods and reels were solid, and every detail was clearly handled with care and professionalism. Whether we needed help baiting hooks, casting lines, or netting a catch, Captain Pierre was right there, always encouraging and always patient. Seeing a dolphin was an added bonus! This trip was well worth the money, in fact, for the level of service and experience we had, it should probably cost more. We’ll absolutely be booking again next year and are already looking forward to it. Thank you, Captain Pierre, for your time, your attention, and your passion. Captain Pierre was the best!
Y'all, we had the best time as a family fishing with Captain Pierre. Our 11-year-old son chose this trip as his gift to celebrate going into middle school. Captain Pierre knew this and he did not disappoint. He cared so much about making sure that our son caught some fish. He was very patient and always there with a helping hand. We did a short 2-hour trip but we loved every minute of it. This was very relaxing and lots of fun! Definitely recommend and we will be back.

Within 10 minutes, someone had already landed the first fish—and the action didn’t stop. By the end, we caught 9 big red drums, all solid size. Captain Pierre made the day even better. We booked a trip with Rising Sun Fishing for my husband’s birthday, and it was an absolute success! From start to finish, the experience was seamless and so much fun for the whole family. We caught a bunch of fish, and the highlight of the day was watching our daughter reel in her very first fish—such a special memory we’ll never forget! Captain Pierre was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure everyone felt comfortable, whether it was our first time fishing or not. He was especially great with the kids, keeping the day light and exciting. We even made a fun stop at a sandbar, which gave us a chance to stretch, enjoy the beautiful day, and let the kids get some wiggles out before heading back. Super Convenient & Learned A Lot
I really enjoyed my solo trip, Captain Pierre was very relaxed and friendly. Captain made everything easy. My goal was to learn a lot about fishing since I was a beginner, and Captain taught me so much in just three hours. I went home and spouted off everything I learned to my family. I will definitely plan to do this again when back in Wilmington! Also, the nature was beautiful.
