Depending on the trip and species, you'll be using techniques like bottom fishing, popping, and spinning. You're looking at 2 to 6-hour trips, where you'll usually go after the likes of Redfish, Shark, Cobia, Black Drum, Tarpon, and Seabass, depending on the weather and time of year.
Captain Thomas grew up fishing and exploring the local marshes. Thomas has always had a drive and love for the outdoors. He has been a USCG licensed Captain since he was 18 and has a degree in Environmental Studies from the University of South Carolina. He specializes in both inshore and nearshore fishing.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 22' Pathfinder boat that can safely take up to 4 anglers. This boat features an ice box, and a wireless trolling motor.
All the necessary fishing gear is included in the price of your trip. All that's up to you is to use it as best you can. Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day.
You're welcome to keep all legal species caught during the trip.
The boat will be supplied with bottled water for your pleasure, be sure to let the captain know if you have any questions or want to bring your own.

This is our third trip with Captain Thomas and each trip is better than the previous one. He put us on fish right away. 2nd cast and we landed a 6ft - 140+lb Tarpon that took my 3 boys 1 1/2 hours to reel in. The experience of a lifetime for them! But we weren't done yet. Captain Thomas knew right where we could catch more fish - and within minutes we were catching Redfish/shark/stingray! We will be able to talk about this day for the rest of our lives! Great memories! Captain Thomas and Hilton Head Inshore Charters is the way to go! Can't wait to book next year's trip!
Captain MacDonald is an absolute pro! From the moment we stepped on the boat, his experience and skillful handling were clear. He expertly navigated us into productive spots where we had an amazing day catching red drum, trout, and flounder. The highlight was landing a nice-sized bonnethead shark! He’s knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely wants you to have a great time on the water. Highly recommend booking with Captain MacDonald if you’re looking for a fun, successful fishing trip. Had awesome day with Thomas who grew up here & clearly knows his way round. Professional & safety conscious. Caught a variety of fish including sharks. Saw dolphin's.
