Your trip will start on a 19' Nautic Star center console that can accommodate 4 guests. The boat uses a 115 HP Yamaha engine as well as modern GPS and fishfinder technology to keep you on the right course all the time. It's also got a wireless trolling motor, an ice-box, and a livewell.
Using light tackle, you and your group will be trolling Lake Nottley for Largemouth, Spotted, Striped, as well as Hybrid Striped Bass. You're free to choose if you'll keep the fish you catch or release it back into the water. Kids are welcome to join your trip, so take them with you and enjoy a wonderful family stay in nature.
When it comes to the thing you'll need for the trip, you should only bring your licenses and the snacks and drinks of your choice. Captain Len provides you with all the fishing gear from tackle, to lures to live bait.

Nothing is guaranteed in fishing but you should always be ready- Capt Len is one of the best guides we have fished with and we have fished with many inside and outside the US. He made sure everything was taken care of and that we had a wonderful time- he was at the launch and ready early, rods rigged, and had plenty of bait in the well. He is very repectful, helpful, and knowledgeable without being overbearing at all. Len worked very hard to get us on the fish by hitting a few spots but he was always ready with fresh bait or the net and handled the chaos of multiple fish on at once. The bite started a little slow but we were always marking good fish on the bottom machine- he knows how to find the fish. We picked up a few nice ones along the way but the last spot was on fire with several big fish being caught.
Captain Len was fantastic—he had everything ready for us as soon as we arrived, which made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. It was just a short 10-minute ride to the fishing spot, and we started catching fish almost immediately. The highlight of the trip was my son catching the biggest fish he’s ever caught—a very nice striper! Captain Len was incredibly helpful and clearly very knowledgeable about both fishing and the lake. I highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a great fishing experience!
capt was early to pick us up from our dock and while conditions were very foggy and surprisingly cool for late July, my son and I had an excellent experience and caught some fish. Will book again next year.
First time catching hybrid striped bass and it was a blast. The fish weren’t very cooperative but we ended up catching a few nice ones regardless. Would definitely recommend Captain Slay to anyone looking to have a good time and catch nice fish.
