Locked with Lorensen is owned and operated by a local family man, Ryan Lorensen, in the Oswego County area. He offers trips for any NYS freshwater species that you would like to target. There is no experience required to go on one of these trips and even if it’s your first time fishing, Ryan is confident that he can get you hooked up and having a good time.

You’ll be fishing on a 18’ driftwood that accommodates up to 3 guests. This drift boat features navigational electronics, a live bait tank, and a cooler.

Your guide Ryan is an expert when it comes to catching trophy Salmon and Trout out of the world-famous Salmon river throughout all of fall and spring. There are also lots of other species you can target here, so you can go after Northern Pike, Yellow Perch, Walleye, Musky, Bowfin, and many more. There are also guided ice fishing trips, but that’s a story for the winter.

All of the bait and tackle needed is covered by the captain. After the trip, he’ll also clean and fillet your catch if you request it prior. You’ll need to prepare your fishing licenses and pack your food and drinks for the day.

Fantastic Captain, Great With Kids, Excellent Trip

6 Hour Trip – Steelhead Trout (AM) on January 3, 2026 • 1 adult • 2 children

We really had a fantastic time. Captain Ryan was extremely communicative and flexible with his schedule, and he took the time to call me before and walk through everything from the plan, fishing techniques, pickup, and all the details. He was very accommodating and took us out even though it was essentially an open window between snowstorms. He was very friendly, extremely knowledgeable, taught my kids quite a bit and he taught me quite a bit as well. He really coached my son through his second catch and gave him confidence to complete the catch. He also really knew what he was doing. We went to multiple spots, got hits at each one, tried different techniques, and walked away with 3 keepers (Steelheads). He took lots of pictures and sent them to me. Really a wonderful human being and I can't say enough things about how much we enjoyed the trip (and we've done multiple guided fishing trips before, so we have a good understanding of how they should go). He had a heater/warmer on his boat, which was key. Great price also, especially since he spent extra time with us to fish in one more spot before an enjoyable ride home. We will definitely be back and will connect with Captain Ryan again.

My husband and I recently went out on a trout fishing charter and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Captain Ryan was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about fishing, which made the trip both fun and educational. The boat was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. We hit great spots, and within a half hour we were already reeling in some beautiful trout. With my limited experience, Captain Ryan gave great tips on technique and helped make sure everyone on board had a chance to land something. What really stood out was his attention to detail. He put us right on the fish—within his knowledge of the water, weather patterns, and trout behavior really set this trip apart from others I’ve been on. Instructive, Educated, Experienced & Committed

6 Hour Trip – Steelhead Trout (PM) on April 21, 2025 • 2 adults

Ryan is committed to providing his clients an excellent angling experience and a great day out. He knows the river and we hooked into many steelhead trout of all sizes. We drifted and plugged and were in fishing mode all day. When you hook fish on Ryan’s boat, he is very patient and provides steady instruction to give you the best chance of landing your fish to the boat. I like to fish hard but have fun too and Ryan has the personality to accommodate both speeds leading to a very enjoyable day. Great Guy and Angler and excellent Guide.I am an experienced fisherman but I enjoyed having Ryan as a guide because he managed to be Instructive and educational to help us get the best results on the river and land as many of the steelhead that we hooked and did it in a very natural and interactive way.
