Come aboard for a San Diego fishing experience of a lifetime! Awol Sportfishing provides private fishing charters customized to cater to all ages, experience levels, and time allotments. Depending on the time of year and the fish you’d like to catch, Captain Andrew Lasky offers trips of all different lengths to give you the opportunity to catch various prized fish.
Join him aboard and embark on your next fishing adventure in California!
You’ll fish a 28’ Boston Whaler center console. It runs on twin 250 HP Yamaha engines, uses full-featured navigation electronics, and can fish up to 5 anglers comfortably. The boat features a toilet, an ice-box, and 2 live bait tanks.
The fishery in San Diego is a year-round hot spot for fishing everything from Bluefin and Yellowfin Tuna, Yellowtail, and White Seabass to Mahi Mahi, Calico, Rockfish, Marlin, and more! Some of the fishing techniques you can try out include bottom fishing, trolling, jigging, kite fishing, and other. You can keep your catch if you want to and you’re welcome to bring kids on your trip if they are at least 4 years old.
Captain Andrew provides all the tackle, live bait, lures, snacks, and drinks. If you keep your catch, he offers free fish filleting as well. Before you depart, just make sure you have your fishing licenses and you’ll be set to go.

5 Hour Coastline Trip (AM)
Great Experience!
Had a successful day out on the waters! Landed countless Calico Bass, couple barracudas, and Mack’s…..literally stopped counting after 15 minutes into it. Both the captain Andrew and Ace navigated us safely to the prime spots, kept the bait on the hooks going for us and even put us over some sea bass which my teenage son got to reel in a 27 inch Sea Bass. Great charter experience and Andrew and Ace are great guys and very knowledgeable, highly recommend the AWOL charter! Fish On! 🎣

Andrew and Ace are awesome!
We had so much fun with AWOL. They are so knowledgeable and had us on the fish THE WHOLE TIME! Not to mention that our hooks were always baited and ready to go. They know thief stuff and make it easy to enjoy fishing with them. We had a great time! Thank you again Andrew and Ace. 10/10 would recommend and will book with them again. Worth every penny
Captain Andrew was fantastic! Responded immediately to messages, answered when I called and was on time. Very personable and knowledgeable! The fishing was so fun my kids and I and we will do it again next time we are in town!

Broken Dreams and Great Memories
Fishing tales will always be a memory and story we tell with this trip. Whether it was a big fish, good conversation and sore arms we wouldn't trade the experience. My wife had been charter fishing several times and this was my first. From the first call to the handshake goodbye we felt like longtime friends. We are already planning another trip.
