Welcome to Marisol Fishing Charters. I am Captain Ron and I want to catch fish as much as you do. That is why Marisol is outfitted with all of the current electronics. We have Simrad fish finder, Simrad radar, Simrad GPS, Simrad VHF, Night vision video in case we are out late, 2 additional backup VHF radios, Starlink, Epirb, Sirius radio…I could keep going. The point is we are equipped to have the most enjoyable trip possible.
Marisol is a 2006 Tiara Fishing boat 33' in overall length. We are wider than most, almost 13' and we have a cabin with a private walk-in restroom. We offer either shaded or full sun seating. All depending on how much of a tan you want! Our twin bait tanks can hold up to 3 scoops.
Our charter is perfect for families! We welcome anglers of all ages and all skill levels ensuring a fun and safe fishing experience for everyone.If you are new to fishing, don't worry, we've got you covered! Because our beam (width)of the boat is almost 13', you don't have to worry about being to crowded. That is why we take only 4 passengers. We will provide enough ice to keep your catch as cold as possible.
FISHING GEAR IS INCLUDED..This is huge however bring your own if you have it. Prices listed is for the entire boat.
We aim to tailor every trip to your specific needs, so once you book, let us know what you're after!
If you are traveling from out of town, your fish can be dropped off at a processor where they fillet, vacuum seal, and flash freeze your catch. It will then be boxed with dry ice in a cooler which will allow you to take it with you either by car or checked in for your flight home.

We had an incredible experience with Captain Ron at Marisol Fishing Charters. I took my son out for his birthday along with my brother, and it turned into a trip we’ll never forget.
From the start, you can tell Ron is just a genuinely good guy. He’s easygoing, helpful, and truly cares about making sure everyone has a great time. What really stood out though was how dialed in he was on the fish. He put us right on them—we ended up catching over 30! It wasn’t luck… you can tell he really knows what he’s doing out there.
The boat was clean, the equipment was top-notch, and everything was handled professionally, but still with that personal touch that made it feel special. Ron took the time to help my son, made sure he was having a blast, and honestly made his birthday trip better than I could’ve hoped for.
Perfect weather, nonstop action, and an all-around great guy running the trip. If you’re thinking about booking, do it you won’t regret it.

Great Day on the Water!
Special 9 hour trip for Jesse Saunders on April 10, 2026 • 2 adults
Our day with Captain Rob was great. We did a full day trip to the Coronado Islands, hoping for Yellowtail, but just looking to get on the water and get some fish.
The water was dirty and green around the Islands, impacting the Yellowtail bite, but Captain Rob didn't let that keep us off the fish. We switched over to bottom fishing around the islands and caught a big variety. The bite got decently hot for a bit when we hit a patch of Lingcod, but we also caught Rockfish, Sheephead, Bocaccio and Sculpin!
All in all, we caught a good variety of delicious fish and had a great day on the water! The Marisol was in good condition and Captain Rob was great company.
Highly recommend Marisol Charters and Captain Rob for anyone's charter needs around San Diego!

Had a great time with Ron. Super nice guy and he had us right on the fish. This was the easiest, low stress trip we have taken. Ron answered when we called and helped us plan a trip just a few days later. Wife and I were out for my 40th Birthday. Bringing a decent haul of rockfish and lingcod home for Christmas dinner this year. Totally worth it and am already planning a summer tuna trip for next year. Thanks Ron!

Professional, Kid-Friendly, and Fun – A+ Fishing Experience

My daughters, wife, and I wanted to try saltwater fishing and found Ron online. He was an absolute pleasure to fish with! We caught around 20 fish in just five hours. Ron was fantastic with my kids, patiently teaching them how to use the fishing rod and reel in their catches.
Unfortunately, my wife experienced severe motion sickness, but Ron was incredibly helpful and even provided her with medication to ease the discomfort.
Overall, it was a great experience. When the fish weren’t biting, Ron didn’t hesitate to move the boat multiple times, using his fishfinder to locate better spots. We truly appreciated his effort and professionalism!

We had a great time with Marisol Sportfishing!
Captain Ron was awesome, very respectful, fun, and made sure we were taken care of the whole trip. My crew altogether caught 18 Rockfish, which was exciting and made the day a success. Captain Ron really delivered and kept the energy positive throughout the experience. The only downside was that the toilet wasn’t working, which was a bit of a bummer. Other than that, everything went smoothly and we had a lot of fun. Would definitely recommend Captain Ron if you’re looking for a solid fishing trip.
