The Jig is Up Charters
Book your next trip with The Jig is Up. We are a family favorite charter in the Fort Walton Beach and Okaloosa Island area.
Depending on the conditions, you might hook into Amberjack, Bonito, Cobia, Mangrove Snapper, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Mahi-Mahi, King and Spanish Mackerel, and plenty more. For these species, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Any fish within the legal limit and regulations is yours to keep. Plus, your catch will be cleaned and bagged by us.
You’ll be fishing aboard The Madaly, a 32’ Center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It has twin Suzuki 350 HP engines, outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on board, so you won’t be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation. Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat. Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Captain Bob will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are welcome! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, it’s no problem we got your kids covered. A few items to bring include snacks (no banana’s they are bad luck for fishing), drinks, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation. Let’s leave hard liquor and fur babies off the boat and save for the celebration and stories once the Charter is complete. Please no glass bottles. Smoking is not permitted.
Safety is key. We keep an eye on the weather and sea conditions to give you the best trip possible. When you book please let us know if you have flexibility incase of bad weather or sea conditions. Go ahead and treat yourself to a day on the water with The Jig is Up
