Sublime Sportfishing is located in Port Douglas, 1 hour drive north of Cairns in Far North Queensland. We are proudly owner operated with over 25 years local fishing experience. Whether you are an experienced fisho or a complete novice, our crew fully customises its trips to suit you. Come and explore and fish the Great Barrier Reef, one of the world’s true wonders.
Skipper Damon will tailor the day to suit you, whether you want a day of hardcore sport and gamefishing or just a leisurely day doing some island hopping and dropping in a line. For an ultimate reef experience why not do a multiday day liveaboard trip.
From September to December, the Great Barrier Reef has a run of Black Marlin that is the envy of the rest of the world with fish over 800 lbs regularly encountered. To maximise your chances of catching one of these magnificent fish, the skipper recommends a 3 to 5-day liveaboard trip. Spend the night anchored behind the Ribbon Reefs only minutes from your fishing grounds. The multiday trips are fully inclusive (except for alcohol).
The rest of the year still offers plenty of action from topwater fishing for Giant Trevally to trolling for many light tackle species, to bottom bouncing, or a combination of everything. Let your experienced crew take you on a fishing adventure of a lifetime.
Your adventure starts on the Aspro, a well-appointed 40’ Blackwatch game boat that can safely take up to 8 fishos for day trips and 4 for multi-day trips. The Aspro is a modern, comfortable game fishing vessel with all the mod cons such as air-conditioning, water maker, refrigeration, and more.
All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Lunch and soft drinks are also included. Be sure to let the skipper know if you have any questions or special requests.
