If you're ready to discover fishing in Port Douglas, look no further than Topwater Sportfishing Charters. Captain Jason will be your guide, which allows you to benefit from years of professional experience.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Barramundi, Mangrove Snapper, Giant Trevally, Coral Trout, Narrow-barred Spanish Mackerel, Red Emperor Snapper, and plenty more. You'll target your catch by spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Jason also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Your adventure begins aboard a 20' Sportsman Center console that can carry up to 3 passengers. It has all the essentials. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's recommended to bring sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks provided on board.

We had a solid trip out on the reefs. Not a massive amount of fish as the conditions were crap. However, We Learn learnt a lot the boat was fantastic. Michael D Skipper was unreal. We will be back when the weather heats up and the wind dies down.
thanks for the feedback mate.

had a phenomenal two days on the GBR. my charter captain Daniel put me on an epic feed early in the morning. non stop action. GTs was destroying everything we threw at them. If one spot isnt working, the switch it up immediately and get you on fish. Next time im back, it will be with top water fishing charters again.

Kept moving to keep us on active fish and also many types of fish he did not scrimp a bit traveled all over the reef! We caught a lot of fish ! Both captain and mate were very friendly! Thanks guys
