Wow! Captain Donnie was awesome! Booking was easy and he called the afternoon before our trip to talk about the details (how many kids, directions to the launch, where to park, etc.). We met at the launch and he was getting the boat in the water ready for us. Trip started with life jacket for my son, safety info about the boat and emergency procedures, and a general overview of how the trip would go. We then went to catch bait fish, Capt. Donnie put us right on them and a couple of casts of the baitnet had the livewell stocked and ready to go. The wind and water were unusually rough, but Capt. Donnie took it easy and made the rough waters as enjoyable as humanly possible. Not long after, we were on the spot and Donnie was baiting our lines. He offered great advice on technique and we were fishing. He was awesome with helping my son and I get the bites and start reeling them in. Two dolphins showed up, which is pretty cool until you realize that they’re scaring away the fish. Capt. Donnie moved us to a different spot and we were fishing again, till the same two dolphins came back. Move again, catching fish, dolphins back again. One last move and we finally outran them. We caught our limit, and ended up with some beauties. Not to mention the half dozen throughout the day that were too small to keep. Back to the dock and Capt Donnie has our keepers cleaned and filleted. Even with the dolphins and rough waters, Captain Donnie had us on the fish, kept our lines baited, and catching fish, exactly what we asked for. The boat and equipment were excellent. The trip was so much fun, relaxed, and handled perfectly. We will definitely book with Team Vinson Charters again. Thanks Captain Donnie!

We booked a afternoon charter for a family of three including a 6 year old. Captain Donnie was great communicating plan, wind was high so he changed launch to keep us out of rough water. We took a 10 minute ride and Donnie got us on fish quick which got the family excited. He was super patient as we learned and we started landing speckeled trout ans red fish. overall couldnt have asked for a better trip. We will be back soon.

Donnie and Candace did an awesome job putting us on the fishing right from the start. For a 3hr evening trip, in not to great conditions, the trip was great. We would highly recommend Donnie and Candace with Team Vinson Charters!!!
