Team Vinson Charters offers full-service inshore and nearshore fishing charters and sunset cruises on Alabama's Gulf Coast, including Mobile, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Fort Morgan, Dauphin Island, Fairhope, Spanish Fort, Daphne, Perdido Key, Dog River, Bon Secour, and Fish River.

Using light and heavy tackle, you'll be bottom and deep sea fishing, trolling, spinning, jigging, and popping. You can expect to target Mahi Mahi, Red Snapper, Pompano, Tripletail, Jack Crevalle, Cobia, Flounder, and many more. Captain Donnie Vinson has decades-long experience in fishing a wide variety of waters in the Mobile Bay area. Join him on a true fishing adventure out of Gulf Shores and have an unforgettable time on the water!

The boat you'll be using is a 25' Skeeter bay boat that can accommodate up to 6 guests. It runs on a 300 HP Yamaha engine and uses all the modern Garmin navigation electronics in order to get you on the fish quickly and safely. The boat also has a Minn Kota wireless trolling motor, a livewell, and an ice box.

Kids of 5 years and older are welcome to join your trip. The fish you catch is yours to keep, but you're free to release it as well. Smoking isn't allowed during the trip.

Captain Donnie provides all the fishing tackle, live bait, and lures and also covers you for fishing licenses and catch cleaning and filleting. Just bring some snacks and drinks, and you'll be ready for the fun.

Best Family Friendly Guide in the Area

Captain Donnie took our family offshore to an amazing spot for red snapper. We hooked up immediately and you could see the schools of fish 18 feet down in crystal clear water. We caught 8-10 snapper before my 7 year old started getting sea sick. This was one of those days when all the stars align and the Captain has you in the exact right spot at the exact right time. Catain Donnie, understandingly pulled up and went back inshore to help with sea sickness and got us back on great speckeled trout. He was incredible with my family. You wont find a better guide for family trips!!

Fishing with Captain Don and Co-Captain Candace was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Their professionalism, knowledge of the water, and genuine passion for fishing made the day both successful and memorable. Captain Don’s experience put us right on the fish, and Candace was fantastic—attentive, encouraging, and always ready to help, making sure everyone felt comfortable and involved. They made my grandson‘s first blue water fishing trip a very memorable experience!

The boat was clean, well-equipped, and run with safety as a clear priority. Whether you’re an experienced angler or new to fishing, they take the time to make sure you have a great experience and enjoy every minute on the water.

Great trip!!!

3 Hour Trip – Inshore/Nearshore on May 13, 2026 • 2 adults

Captain Vinson and his first mate Candace were super nice, efficient, and knowledgeable.  We caught speckled trout, flounder, redfish, and spanish mackeral, on a delightful half day afternoon trip, including two redfish over thirty inches. The boat was clean and well equipped.  The day was utterly delightful!  It couldn't have been better!  Everything we hoped for and more!

Capt. Donnie was excellent from start to finish. Communication when we booked was clear and thorough. He immediately put us on fish and we limited before the other boats in the area. Donnie was aggressive about finding fish and kept moving until we did. Wished we could have met Candace but Donnie was all we needed for an excellent morning of fishing. He was definitely 5 star!

Our annual guys fishing trip was a great success due to the incredible team.
