Your trip starts on a 24’ Carolina skiff that can fit up to 4 anglers. It runs on a 175 HP Suzuki engine and uses GPS, fishfinder, and radio navigation electronics. The boat also comes with a livewell so you can fish with live bait.

On your trip, you’ll go after and Catfish, White Perch, Black Drum, Redfish, and Speckled Trout. The techniques you can use to attract your prey are light tackle, bottom fishing, spinning, and jigging. You can take home the fish you catch if you want to.

Captain Joshua will provide all the fishing rods, reels, and tackle as well as live bait and lures. Before you start the trip make sure to bring your snacks and drinks.

Mid-day fishing with whole family

We had a party of 5 on the boat, ranging from a 6 yo who has never fished or been on a boat, to grandparents in their 60's. Captain Charlie was very friendly and accommodating. Regardless of skill level, he had patience and something to teach. The fish were jumping everywhere we went, but in the extreme heat we were lucky to get as many bites as we did. Still caught plenty of fish. If we weren't getting hits in one spot, we'd try another. The captain was very knowledgeable of the area. Despite the oppressive heat, we still had fun. My advice would be to fish early if you really want action. Also, be advised that fish cleaning is not included in this charter, and the closest spot I could find to do it was Wanchese or Oregon Inlet, an hour away. I don't usually mind cleaning my own fish, but the rental house we were in was not prepared for such things. That aside, we had a blast and would gladly do it again.

Fishing on a Southeast wind

Even though the wind was out of the southeast and made the water choppy and fishing conditions a little rough ! Captain Charles worked so hard to find and to put is on fish and and he really do that we caught catfish Speckled trout and white and yellow perch ! And Captain Charles was just amazing to work with and fun to talk to about the area and fishing in the area ! My family throughly enjoyed our trip and will be back and will use Sportmans Paradise again and will recommend them to everyone ! Thank you Captain Charles for a great time on the water fishing

Great time on the water against the windy weather odds

My son and I had a great 4 hour session on the sound. Our guide worked hard to find fish and shelter against 25 mph winds. We saw more of the sound than ever before which is always a great experience for us. We got a speckled trout and a flounder and several catfish and crabs. The drum are late to the party this year. This was our second booking w sportsmen paradise and we will book again next year.

Best Fishing in Corolla

I highly recommend the charter, and especially Captain Charles. Mid-day sun, 90° temperature, shallow water, and he still put us on the fish. 3 anglers kept 20 fish on a half-day charter. Mostly perch and a croaker. Charles is experienced and knowledgeable and shares what he knows. This was our second trip and we’re looking forward to our third.

We had an amazing trip! the captain was friendly and super helpful. We caught a lot of fish and even saw a dolphin! If we come back to obx we will book another trip!
