Mako Tours Bonaire is located at Club Nautico Marina, on the main boulevard in Kralendijk, and offers to show you a proper fishing experience. We go far, and we go big when we talk fishing.
Capt. Jordan is an avid fisherman. He is persistent and knowledgeable, and he knows how its done. Depending on the trip and species, you'll be using techniques like heavy tackle, bottom fishing, trolling, big game fishing, handlining, and jigging. You're looking at 5 to 8-hour trips, where you'll usually go after the likes of wahoo, tuna, mahi-mahi, barracuda, marlin, sailfish, and swordfish. If you're more into bottom fishing, you could bring home: queen snappers, grouper, red snapper, almaco jack, snowy grouper, amberjacks and more creatures from the depth. The trip will be tailored to your wishes and weather conditions.
Your adventure begins on board a 32' Pinero Picua, a traditional Latin American boat that can fit a maximum of 12 passengers. The boat is fitted with the latest navigation equipment, powerful sonar, and all the necessary gear for an ultimate fishing experience. All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing.
No need to worry about fishing licenses, as they will be provided and handled by the charter.
Most species that are caught in the waters of Bonaire are edible and highly sought after by our local restaurants. The fish supply is very scarce, so no fish goes to waste. All fish that is being kept, is shared amongst locals, restaurants, and family. Our catch is divided evenly amongst: guests, Captain and boat. Guests get a third of the catch, and you may choose the type of fish you would like to keep, and the Captain will clean, fillet and bag it for you free of charge.
There will be complimentary drinks aboard for your convenience during the trip, and a light lunch & beers provided on the 8 hour trip, but feel free to bring your own drinks or snacks if you prefer.
