Mako Tours Bonaire is located at Club Nautico Marina, on the main boulevard in Kralendijk, and offers to show you a proper fishing experience. We go far, and we go big when we talk fishing.
We recommend setting out at 4:00 AM, just before sunrise, to make the most of the prime fishing hours. Our trip begins with a high-speed run offshore to one of the island's FADs (fish aggregating devices), where we jig for tuna during their most active feeding time. As the morning progresses and the tuna bite slows, we switch to a variety of techniques—such as trolling and bottom fishing—to keep the action going. Our captain, born and raised on the island, brings not only professional skill but also an intuitive knowledge of the local waters, ensuring a focused, motivated, and truly unforgettable fishing adventure.
Our fishing charters are true extreme fishing experiences, lasting a minimum of 6 hours to reach prime offshore spots and explore different techniques. These trips are best suited for guests in good health, so we kindly recommend that young children (below 12 years old), infants, and those who may find a long day on the ocean challenging choose an alternative excursion instead.
The catch: We often catch yellowfin tuna, blackfin tuna, wahoo, mahi-mahi, rainbow-runner, marlin, sailfish. During bottom fishing we catch: queen snapper, red snapper, yellow-tail snapper, amberjack, grouper, etc. Fishing for sword-fish is also possible upon request.
Our clean and well-maintained boat provides high quality fishing gear and tackle, coolers with ice, traditional local tools, brand-new engines, space to cool off in the shade.
The catch is divided 3 ways: crew, boat and guest. The guest has the choice of which species they prefer to keep, and the captain will fillet and bag it for you free of charge.

We could not have had a better time with Captain Jordan. We set out early and began with jigging for Tuna. Nearly every drop we were pulling up a Tuna, totaling probably 20 within the first hour. Then, Jordan showed us a variety of different fishing techniques, and we were constantly having success. The highlight was catching a 7FT BLUE MARLIN. The fish of a lifetime and we could not be more thankful for Jordan and his immense knowledge of this island and fishing!! We also had a group of 5, all with varying levels of fishing skills. Jordan understood our limitations and made sure to tailor the experience to our needs! He filleted our fish after getting back to the dock and we have been enjoying sushi and sashimi all week. We had such a great time we booked a second trip! Thank you Jordan for an amazing experience!
If you are looking for a great captain that will put you on high-quality fish, choose Captain Jordan, and Mako Tours. Captain Jordan is an absolute pro. He has a deep understanding of the local environment and of the fish you hope to be landing. There were three people in our party and we went home with more than enough Yellowfin tuna and wahoo. A GREAT day of fishing. Six thumbs up from some very satisfied customers!!
Right from the start Jordan had us catching some tuna! Then we tried a couple different fish catching techniques that I'm sure not many other captains would attempt to do. Would recommend anyone that gets the chance to go on a trip with him! What an unforgettable experience!
I had an amazing fishing experience with Mako Tours on Bonaire! Jordan was super friendly, professional, and really knew where to find the fish. We caught several great fish and the action was nonstop. The boat was clean, well equipped, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. It was the best guided trip I've ever had — highly recommended to anyone visiting Bonaire who wants a fun and successful day on the water!
it was a very windy day and made for tough fishing. Our captain showed us multiple fishing techniques but the fish werent cooperating. we'll be back

Worked on a lot of boats first as a deckhand and slowly made a career in commercial sport fishing. This is my first privately owned boat, and I decided to pursue my biggest passion. I invite you to join me on this exciting adventure, and I can teach you some unique local fishing techniques and make sure that fish gets in the boat!
