Eliminator Sportfishing
Book your next trip with Eliminator Sportfishing and find out what keeps anglers coming back to Bayfield for more.
Lake Trout, Brown Trout, Coho Salmon, Chinook Salmon, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), and more inhabit these waters if you come at the right time of year. For these species, you're likely to troll.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
You'll find yourself aboard a 33' Tiara offshore sport fishing vessel that holds up to 6 passengers. It has downriggers and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Zander will supply rods and reels for you, as well as lures.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates often work for tips and offering them a 10–20% tip is customary.
Before coming aboard, you may need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
You can't go wrong when you bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask.
Eliminator Sportfishing will make it easy for you to go fishing in Bayfield. So, how about booking that trip?

A little chilly to start the day, with absolutely no wind. Lake Superior was just like a sheet of glass. Probably had something to do with no action for the first 90 minutes or so. Once the lake had a little more rippling motion, things heated up. At one point we had a triple header going. We ended up landing a bakers dozen again. 3rd year in a row that we have gone out with Zander, and he has always steered us to the firsh. Another awesome trip, and we are already trying to figure out what date to go again next year. We have always had results going out with Zander. I would highly recommend joining him if you are planning on fishing near the Apostle Islands. Thanks again for another memorable trip, and we will be seeing you again next year, Trevor

Thank you Trevor! its always a blast getting out with you guys. Glad we found them after a slow start. Cant wait til next year!
We’ve been on two trips with Zander now and he does not disappoint! Super knowledgeable about when and where and how to fish to get your limit! 5 good sized browns-one was probably 7lbs-and 5 nice coho salmon to take home. Book the 8 hour trip if you can! Totally worth the time as we caught 3 separate species of fish. His boat is super comfortable, and Zander is kind, funny and efficient in how he runs his operation. Ladies looking to show up their husbands’ fishing abilities, this is the guy you want to fish with! Momma brought home the bacon this time! Or rather, the trout🎣

I had so much fun with you both again! I always look forward to fishing with you guys! I already cant wait til next time! Nice work guys and thank you for a wonderful day on the water!

What an awesome experience, Zander was a great guide! He was knowledgeable, kind, and attentive. At first we weren’t catching much, however, Zander knew exactly where to take us next to catch more fish! If we come back in the area we would definitely book another trip! Doing the morning trip for our family of five was the perfect length of time!
Knowledgeable boat captain ran his set up well and was easy to talk to during trip. Despite very calm waters, knew right where to go to bring in limits on Lake Trout.
What a great day fishing. Caught our lilmit of lake trout snd two nice brownies. Captain Zander snd first mate were awesome and sure know the right spots for fishing. Be sure to ask them about Banana Cove (lol). I would recommend this trip for all. if you want a good day fishing book with Captain Zander.

Meet Captain Zander Ziemski: I have been fishing on Lake Superior since I was 6 years old. I fell in love with it and have been working as a first mate for the last 8 years, which prompted me to start my own business. Join me for a great adventure on this amazing lake.
