Panama GEM Charters takes you fishing around the iconic waterways aboard their speedy and reliable 27' Proline.
Whether it's Pearl Islands Archipelago, 20 Fathom Trench, or Taboga Island, you can sample some of the finest game species here, including Mahi and Wahoo, and much more. And, no matter how skilled you are, the crew will gladly accommodate you and help turn your fishing day into a lasting memory.
When you come onboard, you will find a selection of fishing gear, soft drinks, water, and beer. The crew will supply all the safety gear, tackle, lures, and bait. The boat can take up to 8 people who will have enough space to fish but also enjoy the view and the ride. The boat is equipped with twin 150 HP Yamaha engines, GPS, a fishfinder, as well as a toilet, an ice box, and a multimedia system.
Anglers onboard can try trolling or bottom fishing and the crew will make sure you have a productive day. Just one look at the photos of the catch and you'll see how big these Mahi can get. There are also big Tunas, tasty Snapper, and massive Amberjacks. The captain will advise what works best according to the weather and what you want to catch.
Pack sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, as well as a camera. You may want to bring some extra layers of clothing just in case. Book your spot, invite your friends, and come for a blast!

I booked the 8-h tour, hoping to get some Mahi Mahi or Sailfish - After a promising start the action died down. Captain Miguel and Lino made every effort to get me on some fish, but it was just one of those days. They are very knowledgeable about the area's flora and fauna as well as the country - so I learned a lot and did see some great wildlife while trying to get something on the line. Cpt Miguel constantly explained his gameplan and in the last hour we finally hit fish. Jack and Spanish Mackerel found their way into the boat and I enjoyed a nice sashimi. Overall a great experience. Can't blame tour operator or crew for a slow day and the garbage floating in the water which caused a 4 star review.

Captain Miguel and mate Pooras were great ! They know how to fish , very informative on the country and wonderful hospitality !! Caught large sail fish and a Mahi which we had delicious ceviche with on board and some for lunch at Toboga Island . Also caught a tuna of which they fixed some sashimi with and also a grouper. Had several more fish on line that spit the hook before I got them on board. Couldn't have been happier with the experience on the Blue Lobster with Miguel and Pooras . I would recommend the 8 hour charter because every part of it was great ! I would not want to have missed out on any of the wonderful experience they gave me !! What a day on the water !!!

We had the best time on our fishing trip. The boat ride out was fast and super fun. Miguel and Boris set up all the fishing equipment while we just enjoyed ourselves. Once a fish bit, it was our time to shine. At one point all 4 lines had a fish. They guided us and cheered us on as we reeled them in. We caught 8 fish total, 1 being a mahi mahi. Boris cleaned it right on the boat and we had fresh ceviche within minutes. Would take this trip 100 times over. We had a blast. Huge shout out to Miguel and Boris for making it memorable.

Miguel and Gabriel took great care of us and gave us an amazing day. The boat was clean and well maintained, and the crew set up all the fishing gear. Friends who had never fished before pulled in 2 tuna and 2 mahi on the way out to the Pear Islands. Plus a show of dolphins and sailfish. The crew prepared sashimi and ceviche which we enjoyed in crystal clear water on a beautiful island beach. Can't beat that!

This was our first deep sea fishing trip. While we didn't catch any fish, it wasn't for lack of effort from the crew. They were friendly, and made the experience well worthwhile. The boat was clean, well maintained and comfortable. Catching fish is never guaranteed so we were not disappointed.
We had a fantastic time with you and hope to see you again in the future. Looking forward to another trip together!
