Make some memories in Woodbridge Township and go fishing with Miss Behavin' Fishing Charters.-

Local species include Striped Bass, Flounder, Weakfish, Black Seabass, Tautog, and more with any luck. You can expect to do some spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. No previous experience necessary, we will help you and teach you.

Fish caught during the trip are yours to keep, so long as they meet regulations. Capt. Your mate will even filet your catch for you at the end of the trip with bags supplied.

You'll be fishing aboard a 27' Grady White center console with a capacity for 5 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. If you prefer to bring your own you are welcome to do so, however you must also provide your own tackle.

You'll have the help of a First Mate to keep your rigs looking sharp and make the most of your trip. It's customary to tip the Mate 20% at the end of the day to show your appreciation.

If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests under the age of thirteen, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly! We will provide a cooler on board to keep food and beverages at the right temperature.

It's never a bad idea to bring bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Custom 'Miss Behavin' merchandise is available for sale prior to and after your trip. Alcohol is permitted, however try to avoid bringing glass bottles.

The Captain requires white soled shoes so the deck does not get marked up.

Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. So make it happen, with Miss Behavin Fishing Charters!

Veterans Event and Tagging
3/4 Day Fishing Trip on May 16, 2026

The first part of the title well describes the character of Capt. Dan. My group went out with him along with about 27 other vessels participating in Fins For Freedom, a Veteran-oriented organization and annual Event each Armed Forces Day since 2022. He and others donated the time and expenditure to take us out for a full day's fishing! We frequented an area off Monmouth Beach and tied into three sizeable Stripers using live eels. There may have been more, but due to lower than usual water temps, marked fish just weren't feasting. Then another surprise. As with the first fish landed, I took my turn, landed a 43 3/4" bunker, and was asked if I wanted to Tag it before releasing! After seeing this for ages on NatGeo and other docs, I leapt at the chance as she did!! It was an excitement and gift to tag a fish for marine research and yes, we named our fish! Weather was pretty optimal and a very therapeutic awesome time was had by all! I would so recommend Dan and his mate(that day)John for his knowledge, safety and the fun we all had! Looking to return someday! WJ😎

Half day trip with Captain Dan and deck hand Cole
Half Day Trip (PM) on April 18, 2026

We took an evening charter with captain Dan and his deck hand Cole aboard the Miss Behavin. After a safety briefing we set out in search of the mighty striped bass. Cole made short work of getting us some live bait to start fishing with. Captain Dan got us on really good fishing, using live bait ,trolling, and artificial lures. When we got back to the dock Captain Dan took all the pictures we wanted to make this trip as memorable as possible. Thanks again to Captain Dan and Cole for a great day aboard the Miss Behavin. We will be booking another trip soon.
