Went out on June 22nd even though the seas were very rough, probably should have cancelled. We still had a great time and Spencer found the snapper and we limited out. The trip out and in was rough with 6’ seas, but Spencer got us out there and home safely. There was a family with small children scheduled for the afternoon trip that was angry that Spencer cancelled, but I would never have taken toddlers and a baby out that day either. Spencer was wise to cancel that trip as the waves seemed to get worse in the afternoon.
Captain Spencer is one of the best captains on the Texas Gulf Coast. Very knowledgeable and put us on the dish. It is apparent that he LOVES what he does and ensures that his guests are well taken care of. I will absolutely use him again.
