On these trips, it's common to troll and bottom fish using light tackle.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
You'll be casting lines from a 25' C-Hawk center console that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's always wise to bring sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Captain Jeremy was an excellent host - very friendly and put us on a lot of fish!
Best captain we’ve had. Communicated the day before and listened to all our needs and concerns. Sharks were on. We caught 7 sharks in about and hour and half.
We choose to only go out for a few hours, but happened to get blessed with good fishing at the spot captain Jeremy chose, caught well over 30 fish in two hours brought home some keepers for dinner. Even managed to see some dolphins on the way home. Nice trip and a good captain.
We had so much fun!!! My 5 year old caught SIXTEEN fish and the rest of us caught lots too! Everyone had a blast - from 2.5 to 54 year olds! It was such a great day and Captain Jeremy couldn't have been kinder and made our day more fun!
My two teenage boys and I had a great time fishing with Island Lure Charters. We each caught several fish, including hammerhead sharks! If we fish these waters again, no doubt we will seek to hire Captain Jeremy at Island Lure.
