Hooked on Stripers -Temple Bar

Temple Bar Marina has a fish with your name on it, so let Hooked on Stripers LLC help you catch it! Your guide for the day is Captain Ray, which allows you to benefit from years of local experience.

Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Striped Bass, Smallmouth, and Largemouth Bass too! On the day of your trip, you’re likely to troll, cast, and bottom fish using light tackle. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing and bowfishing trips available.

Young ones 5 and up are welcome, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Child-sized life vests are available and are required to be worn at all times on the boat. You can bring your own if you so choose. Water, soda and light snacks are available. You may bring your own except no alcohol or glass containers are allowed in the park.

Your fishing machine for the day is a Tracker Targa V-19 Aluminum fishing boat with room for 4 passengers. It’s quite stable with comfortable seating. Your captain will provide rods, reels, and all tackle. Live bait may be caught at the beginning of the trip if available.

Before coming aboard, you’ll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. A license from either Arizona or Nevada is acceptable. This information is available online.

For day trips, bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and a hat. Oh yeah and bring a cooler with ice if you plan on keeping any fish you catch

And that’s it! Your fishing trip with Hooked on Stripers LLC is just a click away.

Temple Bar is located at the East end of Lake Mead, where the Colorado River exits the Grand Canyon and empties into the lake. Striped bass are known to travel the length of the entire lake once and possibly twice per month. Nutrients from the river encourage microscopic organisms and small bait fish in this end of the lake. Fishing here can be very productive when schools of traveling striped bass are found.
