Top targets include King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Scamp Grouper, Gag Grouper, Great Barracuda, Amberjack, Little Tunny, Vermilion Snapper, Cobia, Black Seabass, Mahi Mahi, Bluefish, and more with any luck. During the trip, you might be spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. The crew can also help you try kite fishing.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
You'll step aboard a 37' Freeman catamaran that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, along with lures. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 20% to show your appreciation.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain. It's always wise to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

6 Hour Trip on June 22, 2026 • 6 adultsWe had an incredible 6-hour offshore trip aboard the Salt Fever, a 42-foot Freeman, and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Captain Anthony put us right on the fish, and thanks to his knowledge and hard work, we caught our limit of gag grouper along with some nice black sea bass. First Mate Jake was fantastic…always ready to help, kept lines in the water, and made sure everyone had a great time. Both Anthony and Jake worked hard from start to finish and made the trip enjoyable for everyone on board. The 42' Freeman was impressive. Even in rougher conditions and higher seas, the boat handled exceptionally well and provided a comfortable ride offshore and back. If you're looking for a professional crew, a top-notch boat, and a great chance at catching fish, I highly recommend Captain Anthony, Jake, and the Salt Fever team. We'll definitely be booking another trip!

They were knowledgeable, friendly, and worked hard to make sure everyone had a great time. I have to admit, I was a little nervous when Captain Anthony said we were heading 34 miles offshore to find the fish, but the ride was absolutely worth it. We stayed on the fish and had an amazing day on the water. I highly recommend this charter to anyone looking for a great fishing experience. We'll definitely be booking with Captain Anthony again next year!

The boat was not only fast allowing us to get to the fishing grounds quickly. It was also an incredibly smooth ride. The captain and crew were knowledgeable far beyond their years. From getting the bait first thing in the morning to putting us on fish immediately after this will be a trip that we will never forget. Thanks again, Captain.

Capt. Riley and First Mate Joe with Salt Fever Guide Service out of Ocean Isle Beach, NC gave my husband one of the best fishing trips he’s ever experienced. They put us on fish and the action never slowed down during our full 8‑hour trip. We caught a variety of species, and Capt. Riley’s skillful moves kept our party of three reeling and laughing all day. The weather was gorgeous, the bites were constant, and the entire experience felt nearly perfect. If you’re looking for a fun, exciting, and truly memorable fishing adventure, Salt Fever Guide Service is an outstanding choice.

Had a great time. Caught lots of Seabass, Snapper that we unfortunately had to throw back and two gag groupers. Great time overall. Highly recommend this group. Hope to be able to book them again in the future.
Captain Anthony and first mate Joe were outstanding! Great personalities and they put us on fish all day. Caught some Cobia, Amberjacks and a bunch of red snapper. Would love to go back out with them next year!!
