Operating out of Ocean Isle Beach, Hey Now Charters strives to give you the best possible offshore fishing experience. They are a passionate crew with knowledgeable captains and first mates – Capt. William Mullins, Capt. George Mullins, and Capt. Justin Swaim.
Their boat is a 33' Contender Tournament center console that can accommodate up to 6 anglers of all experience levels. Fitted with powerful twin 350 HP Yamaha motors, it will take you to the best fisheries in no time. Kept in mint condition, the vessel will provide you with a comfortable ride and plenty of space to move around as you reel in fish.
This fishing machine is packed to the gills with top of the line marine electronics and safety gear. It also features a portable toilet, outriggers, downriggers, a live bait tank, and an ice-box.
Hey Now Charters have tons of offshore and nearshore fishing experience and will do everything to put you on top of some of the hottest species in the area. Depending on the bite, you'll have the opportunity to reel in Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Marlin, Tuna, Wahoo, Black Seabass, and so much more.
The captains will provide all the fishing gear needed for a productive day on the water, including live bait. The crew will clean and package your catch for you. Please note that mates work for tips and 15-25% is customary.

We had a great trip on July 1st with Captain Will and mate George. We left right on time with Hey Now ready and waiting for us. After getting some live bait we set off for our 20+ mile trip out to the fishing ground. Will and George moved us around to be sure we got some fish. Each of the three of us each caught a king mackerel we also caught a barracuda, a brown shark and got really close to landing a cobia. Will and George took great care of us. I am also certain that we will always have success with the Hey Now crew and don’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone who asks. Would not fish with another crew! George, Jonathan and Brent ???

First off this crew is amazing. Taking the time to walk us thru every step of the way. We booked one last year and this one was twice as amazing! Having 3 hook ups at the same time and having a crew help us was awesome! I would advise anyone to book these guys and go out with. Every year we at the beach we on there boat!

Our party of 5 went out for a full day with Captain Will and George yesterday. These guys made sure that our trip was fun no matter what happened. We started off the day catching both a Kingfish (within the first five minutes) and Mahi-mahi, they were obviously knowledgeable about the area and where to fish. Ride was smooth even with some slightly rougher seas. They also helped teach our less experienced party members how to reel in fish and took care of everything. After some more fishing we moved onto a few other spots. Caught a few things we couldn’t keep because of the laws (undersized Black Bass and Red Snapper) and a few we decided not to keep (little tunny and a Bonito). Even though we got caught in a rainstorm these guys made the trip great! One of the coolest moments was when Captain Will spotted two Manta Rays in the wild and turned the ship around so we could get a closer look. These two rays were probably 8 to 10 feet wide each. Overall the trip was full of music, laughing, sun, and plenty of fishing. After we got back they quickly cleaned the fish and took the time to explain to our youngest about what they were doing and why. They even gave us a few pointers for how to cook it. We had it for dinner tonight and it was delicious! Overall it was a great trip and would go again with Hey Now Charters!

2nd trip with Hey Now! A most Awesome day on the sea!! We ran out 23 miles on the Contender 33 with Will and George. The twin 400 Mercs deliver a straight up powerhouse that got us out of the channel and on the fish quick. We pulled up barracuda (great fighters), cobia and black tip. My son, father in law and I had a blast. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, fun and all around great crew you gotta go Hey Now! There's no other charter better than these guys. Captain put us on a ton of bait fish early and we were able to get out about 20 miles quickly. Top notch boat and gear. The mate was very experienced and always looking out for our comfort. We took home a freezer full of Mackerel, Mahi-Mahi and a 45lb Cobia. Crew was attentive without being intrusive and worked well together. We’ll definitely be back next year!

Growing up near the coast, I have been fishing for 20 years offshore and nearshore. My father is from Panama and he and his father chartered fished down there. I've dreamed of doing this my whole life and getting to work on a dream is amazing! I absolutely love slow trolling for fall Kingfish but like all types of fishing – as long as we are on the water, my day is great. I'm a true people's person and can get along with everyone. My customers having a great time on my trips is my biggest priority. I'm very knowledgeable, so if you have questions on anything while we are out, feel free to ask – the only bad question is the one not asked. We might even exchange some good jokes.
