We had a great 4 hour trip with Captain Dez and Mate Jose. Dez had us on the fish within 20-25 minutes of leaving the dock, more time was spent fishing than boating which is great. Jose worked the boat great and kept bait on the lines and lines in the water. Dez and Jose were very knowledgeable and great at showing the boys how to hook specific fish, Dez even a made us some Sashimi out of one of the 25 rainbow runners we caught which my boys and nephew thought was cool. They boat and equipment are top notch and very accommodating. Also a must recommended by Dez was taking the catch to lazy Days South for dinner and having it cooked up lazy days style they will even cook multiple ways and share it family style. I will definitely recommend Hennessy to anyone I know out here in Colorado that is visiting the keys.

Dez and Jose helped make my dreams come true today. Deep sea fishing has been at the top of my bucket list all of my life and today they made this experience the best day of my life. they found the BEST spots to catch the most amazing Cobia, snappers ans even hooked a few sharks, not a dull moment aboard the boat. within seconds we were catching fish and seeing amazing sea life like turtles, sharks, manatee, dolphins, and various amazing and even exotic dangerous fish. hands down the best experience we have had. thank you to our guides and their knowledge of the sea.

Our original plan was to focus on Yellowtail & Mutton snapper and then go after bigger fish. We got several Yellowtails immediately, however offshore was a little rough and 2 people in our group got uncomfortable. So the Captain took us the the Gulf side, which was very calm. We loaded up on big Mangrove & Lane Snappers and had great fun. Captain Dez & Mate Brian were awesome and really cool guys. Turned out to be great day and I will book them again for my offshore trip on a calmer day.

Absolutely Outstanding Fishing Charter Experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our family had an incredible time on our recent hennesy charter — truly one of the best experiences we’ve had on the water. From the moment we stepped on the boat, the “Dez” our captain made us feel completely comfortable. Not only was he extremely friendly and personable, but he also had a great sense of humor that kept the whole trip light and fun. We ended up limiting out on snapper, which made the trip even more exciting. Captain Dez clearly knew his stuff — he shared some excellent local knowledge and put us right on the fish. You could tell he genuinely cared about making sure we had a successful and memorable day. The boat was clean, well-equipped, and very comfortable, which added to the overall experience. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or a first-timer, this charter is the way to go. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be back. .

We had an amazing experience on our 6-hour deep sea fishing trip with Hennessy Fishing! From the moment we stepped aboard the beautifully restored 28 ft Mako, it was clear we were in for a special day. The boat is truly a dream—modernized to perfection with twin Yamaha engines, a top-notch Furuno navigation system, and a JL Audio sound system that provided clean, crisp tunes throughout the day. The layout was perfect for our family of four. There was a large cushioned bench seat at the back and another comfortable bench in front of the center console. The spacious T-top provided ample shade and plenty of handholds, which made moving around feel very safe even with 1 to 2 ft seas. While conditions weren’t perfectly calm, the boat handled the waves impressively, and we always felt secure. We targeted mahi and tuna during the trip. Despite the choppy conditions, we had a blast! We landed three keeper mahi, a few small blackfin tuna, and even pulled in a big barracuda. One highlight was the fight with a good-sized tuna—until the “tax man” (a shark) came in and claimed it. Still, it made for an exciting story! Captain and mate were both fantastic—professional, friendly, and easy to chat with. They kept the vibes fun and made sure we had everything we needed for a great trip. If you’re looking for a quality offshore experience with a knowledgeable crew and a beautifully equipped boat, I highly recommend Hennessy Fishing. We made memories that will last a lifetime!
