On these trips, it's common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Don't forget to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
You'll be welcome aboard a 23' center console with space for 3 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.
Before coming aboard, it may be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. It's recommended to bring sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Please keep in mind that fishing licenses and live bait are not included in the price.

Have fished many times in Cabo; I've had the best 2 days of fishing yet with Captain Matzunaga. Captain listened to my fish target and started the first day with yellowfin to make sure we landed some fish. He then went after what I wanted, which was marlin. He hooked on to a sailfish, but unfortunately it got off. Second day was even better; Captain knew I wanted marlin, but he took me after roosters; we got two right away and a snapper. We then went after marlin; unfortunately, we never hooked into one, but we crushed the yellowfin! The second day was the best experience. Captain was always in contact with other boats to check on what was biting and where and he adjusted our trip accordingly. The boat itself was excellent, Captain had us far out where the big vessels were, but at no time did I feel unsafe. I would rather be on this boat than the big vessels. To the Canadians; this was the best trip; and I'm comparing this to salmon runs on Hadai Gwaii and Vancouver Island! I've already given Captain Matzunaga's name to 3 groups here. -

I'm very glad that your fishing experience with us was the best I hope to see you soon!!
alburo was a great captain! a hilarious guy that kept the jokes rolling all day, the morning was looking a little iffy with the wind having the inlet shut down but we got through at 8am and when we stopped we immediately were on fish, landed a mahi mahi, a big marlin, tuna, needle fish, and hooked up another marlin and released it st the boat! hands down would reccomend this company and captain to anyone looking for the experience. we will definitely be booking again in the future

Thanks to Drew for fishing with us and I'm glad you had a great time.
If you are looking for a big ,stable ,comfortable boat this is not it . If you are loking for a cheap fun trip to try to target dorado, wahoo or possibly marlin this is it . The captain was great. We knew going in this would not be easy and fishing is no guarantee but all you can do is try. We were hoping to at least get a dorado or wahoo. We were pleasantly surprised catching a 120lb striped marlin. Great half day on the water ! Well worth it.

Thank you very much Lindsay for seeing fish with us.
i booked a trip with these guys to do some fishing for rooster fish. this trip was so much fun. the boat was small but it was everything we needed. the captain was so good. his name was Albaro Julian. and he made the the trip. albaro knew right where to go to find the fish. there were three if us on the trip myself and two sons 17 and 21 years old. capt. albaro put us on a bonita bite really quickly and we caught so many i lost count. at one point we had three on at one time. we then fished the shore line for roosterfish. the bite was slow but i hooked one and it got off. but the captain knew one last spot when we only had one bait left and we tried that spot. and we finally caught the rooster. overall i would recommend this trip to anyone. captain albaro is super patient and in good spirits the whole trip and made it an amazing experience for me and my sons. i also booked a trip with a guy at the marina. and booking through fishing booker was a much better experience. the guy at the marina kinda ripped us off. where booking through the website on the anamar with captain albaro was an awesome experience

The Anamar with Captain Alvaro Jilian was great. I'm a reasonably experienced fisherman, and this boat was perfect for my solo trip. The boat was well equiped with reliable 30's, outriggers, and ran a 5 wide spread (lures) successfully for Dorado. Later we moved a bit further offshore, and used live bait for Striped Marlin. Captain Alvaro not only found the birds, but seemed instinctively to know where to go to hook up (better than most large boats out there). We were definitely the smallest boat out on the water, but one of the most productive that I saw. It was just the Captain and I, and he was kind enough to let me help out during the trip. Captain Alvaro was the first to get me both Dorado and Marlin. Landed 1 Large Bull Dorado, hooked 3 Marlin, lost 1 early, fought 2 more. one catch/release, one in the boat for a morning trip. I have a lot of respect for these guys and I'll be back to fish on the Anamar. For a newer charter from Cabo, if you are into fishing, give this boat a try.

David, thank you for watching fish with us.
