Make an adventure out of your next trip to Wanchese and go fishing with Miss Banx. You will be fishing with the only female Captain in the Safe Harbor fleet!

We will target Redfish, Bluefish, Black Seabass, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Flounder, Amberjack, and more depending on the conditions.

Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! And you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!

Captains Taylor, Lee, & Edward Lee operate a 32' Topaz with space for six passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.

There are rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.

You do not need a fishing license!

Some essentials to bring are bottled water, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Captain Taylor & Captain Ed were welcoming from the get go; talkative, helpful, kind and humorous - what more could you ask for from a crew. They liaised with other boats to ensure we had the highest chance of catching a fish and it wasn’t long before we had some big blues on some of which were 10lbs+. After we had filled the coolers we went in search of albacore and mahi, just as we had asked. Though to no avail, the eight mile trip must have burned a lot of fuel, but their only consideration was our enjoyment. That was the vibe of the whole trip and what a joy it was! Thank you once again Taylor & Ed. From Billy & The rest of the Garnett family (Go Phils!).

Captain Taylor and Captain Russell are the best! They made sure everyone had a great time though the weather did not cooperate due to pending TS Chantal. They were extremely accommodating to everyone, from the 8-year-old in our party who had never been on a boat to another individual who is a little uneasy on the water. Captain Taylor’s passion for fishing and commitment to delivering an unforgettable experience truly stood out. Captain Russell's knowledge of the area and navigating the water is admirable. I highly recommend Miss Banx for a memorable and enjoyable adventure.

We had an absolutely fantastic time aboard the Miss Banx! Captain Taylor and Captain Edward Lee were amazing — professional, friendly, and truly passionate about making sure we had the best experience possible. They kept us on the fish all day and worked hard to ensure we made the most of our trip. The boat was super clean, spacious, and comfortable — perfect for a full day out on the water. We left with great memories, plenty of fish, and already can’t wait to book our next trip. Highly recommend!

Despite some rough waters, they navigated with skill and confidence, ensuring our safety and comfort the entire time. What stood out most was their commitment to getting us on the fish. They didn’t stop until we were reeling them in—and we caught plenty! Their expertise and passion for what they do really showed, and it made all the difference. We had a rough week with weather, yet Taylor and Ed worked with us to get our trip on this week. We knew the fishing would be tough but they got us on some early fish and then we opted to go a little deeper and go for the blues! We had a couple on, boated a good size one. Highly recommend Taylor and Ed! Fun time, nice boat and people that know what they are doing!
