Hundley’s Guide Service (Benbrook) 

We had an incredible experience with our fishing guide, Sharee! From start to finish, she worked hard to make sure we had a great day on the water. She’s knowledgeable, patient, and clearly passionate about what she does. What really stood out was how amazing she was with our daughter—Sharee took the time to teach her, encourage her, and make sure she felt included and excited the whole trip. That meant so much to us as a family. If you’re looking for someone who is professional, dedicated, and genuinely cares about giving you a memorable experience, we highly recommend Sharee. We’ll definitely be back!

Our guide absolutely crushed it and got us on fish nonstop! She was super persistent and handled everything—setting us up with the reels, staying on the bite, bringing fish in, and getting us right back out to catch more. She was incredibly chill, fun to fish with, and made the whole trip effortless. By the end, we had a huge bag of beautifully filleted fish and didn’t have to do a thing except take our fillets home. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

My wife surprised me with a fishing trip with 3 of my friends. We each caught 25 catfish. He was patient. Would stop what he was doing to help us. He cleaned all the fish. Answered all our questions. Ver professional but also fun to talk to. Very good teacher. Didn’t have to worry about anything. Had all equipment ready. Worth every penny. Would definitely recommend to friends. Thinking about making it a bimonthly trip.

We had a great time. Brody worked really hard to get us on the fish and he did. We caught a ton of fish. It was a beautiful day. We got out of there before it got too hot. He got the fish cleaned quick excellent trip would definitely recommend Brody.

took my son and dad out for the first time fishing in Texas. awesome start and finish to the day. the guide worked his butt off when the bite was slow. if we come back to this area i would book another trip.

I bought this excursion for my 16-year-old sons and their friend. They had a blast. Caught lots of fish and even had them filleted to take home. Brody was very helpful and kindly answered all questions that popped up before trip.

I booked a trip for Benbrook but our guide suggested Glen Rose because the bite was better. He was right! We caught our limit of catfish in less than 2 hours.

Went for a 4 hour trip on Benbrook yesterday, reached our limit of bass within 3 hours of dropping lines. He definitely put us on the fish! More importantly, Brodie is a family man with great morals and ethics, and a delightful conversationalist. This was one of our first lake charters (we usually fish salt water), and are glad to have found Capt. Brodie—we’ll be back! Had a fabulous time and he filled our ice chest with beautiful fillets!

Our fishing trip started a bit slow. We had wonky weather the day before and the morning of was dreary and foggy. The first few hours I was worried we weren’t going to have much luck. But Captain Brody was determined to get us on some fish and he did! Before long we had fish hitting one after another. Brody was knowledgeable and helpful and went out of his way to make sure our trip went well. Next time we’re in Texas we’ll be hiring him again!

My 10 year old son-whose never been fishing- had a blast, as did my wife and I. We caught about 20 good sized hybrids, a catfish and a nice crappie. (Just finished frying and eating some!) Captain Mark is a patient teacher and a seasoned fisherman. Some other boats in the area began moving closer to us bc we were doing so well. (The captain told us the fish would bite on shad bait, so he had caught a mess of shad at 2am in preparation for our trip!) We fished Lake Benbrook bc we live 15 minutes away, but Captain Mark said he works several lakes, including Whitney. He showed us pic of a 15 pound striper he caught there recently. Maybe we'll try Whitney next time!
