Capt. Jeff's Fishing Excursion
Book your next trip with Midnight Fleet and find out what keeps anglers coming back to New York City for more. Captain Jeff will be your guide, bringing aboard years of experience.
These waters are known for Bluefish, Striped Bass, Black Seabass, Scup (Porgy), and more – with any luck, it won’t be long before "Fish on!" You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Capt. Jeff will bring you aboard a 65’ Headboat with capacity for 70 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. What’s more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. Rods, reels, and tackle can be rented. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It’s recommended to bring sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks for you on board.
The click of a button is the only thing keeping you from a great day on the water with Midnight Fleet!
